Is it possible to automatically swap the SL40 COM radio for the SL30 NAV/COM radio in slot 2 when the NAV OBS 2 option is turned on, to solve the issue of it only being usable with two GPS units or one GPS as it is now?

Not flight model rated - works perfectly here. Identical turn rate and aileron deflection to both sides. Probably a joystick calibration problem.

I spent some of the recent Bank Holiday indoors, hiding from the heat and sun, putting some enjoyable hours on the F28 - still one of my absolute favourite aircraft, even a few years after release! I have mostly ignored the Flight Director in my time, as one of the things I like about the F28 are the 'old school' systems and how nice and easy it is to precisely hand-fly. But I made an effort to integrate the FD functions into my procedures, especially since I recently acquired a Pilot's Guide to the Collins FD-Series Integrated Flight System in a stack of old aviation-related papers and brochures at a jumble sale - as used in the F28! As far as I can tell the F28 features a version of the FD108 or FD109 system (also used in the B727, early B737, the BAC 1-11 and the DC-9). The manual says the JF F28 doesn't model the Speed Control function on the FD. I assume there is a good reason for this, but I was wondering exactly why? The Pilot's Guide says that when selected this ties the Fast/Slow Speed Bug indicator (which is functional on the JF F28) to the Flight Director bars. So the basic functionality would seem to be there? Hitting the palm switches on the throttles would automatically set the Flight Director to SC mode, with the speed bug set to the Two Engine Best Climb Speed by the crew as part of the approach checks. The palm switches are on the JF model, but 'disconnected'. The JF manual suggests (but doesn't outright state) that the Altitude Hold mode on the Flight Director is functional. But it doesn't seem to be - when selected it just indicates nose-level (same as if the pitch selector is set to Zero) and doesn't move regardless of the height of the aircraft. According to the guide "the V-bars in the flight director indicator will command climb or descent as necessary to maintain the barometric altitude indicated on the altimeter at the time the altitude hold switch was engaged." Something amiss? Another 'fitted for but not with' item? Am I doing something wrong?

@Mark Are you still in discussions with Asobo on this issue? I see it's still not resolved in SU5

@hunterdouglas You make some good suggestions. But.... not sure there is much we can do to satisfy these requests. A fleet of GA aircraft 'in a box' (as we did with the old PlusPaks) is feasible. However, standards are a LOT higher than in PlusPak days and, because there are a lot of freeware AI aircraft about, I am not sure we would be able to make much of a commercial success of this one - certainly not enough to justify costs even without liveries. More importantly, any such pack would need to function 'in game', rather than just provide aircraft. We'd need it to work (and be bought by) a decent number of ordinary users - not just DIYers (see below). Creating an airport modifying tool is not something we'd really want to get into. It's not our bag and we generally leave tools development to third party devs (see, for example, Real Taxiways from Black Square). Over the (many) years we have been doing Traffic we have seen that buyers tend to fall into three categories: Flyers - want a product that adds realistic commercial traffic to the sim so they are not flying in empty skies and don't see United Airlines 737s at Glasgow. Spotters - like to watch the 'action' happening around airports. We even built a 'Spotty' tool to satisfy this need in a previous incarnation. Suffice to say we haven't included Spotty in any subsequent version. Tinkerers - people who like to repaint aircraft, add missing planes and schedules or create flight plans from the past or in more obsure locations. The vast majority of buyers of FS200X/FSX/P3D/MSFS versions fall into the first category. We did find a higher number of Tinkerers for the X-Plane version, which is probably a function of the sim itself. X-Plane has encouraged tinkering for many years with things like Planemaker and flying on Mars. However, even 'over there' the majority of users still seem to be Flyers. What this means, of course, is that we need the software to appeal to the majority of users and that's where a big chunk of the compromise comes in. It also means that any future developments and updates after initial release are usually restricted to more planes, new liveries and updated schedules. Beyond that, we are constrained by the commercial realities of dev cost vs sales potential. So, while we dso our best to make it possible to modify and customise the Traffic offering, it's not a core part of the add-on.

Hi Just Flight team, Could I put in a request to enable compatibility with the Enhanced Garmin G5 Attachment mod (available at flightsim.to) in the next update to the Warrior II? The real-life Warrior II that I fly has a dual G5 setup, and it would be great to be able to replicate this in the sim! Thanks!

I would like to control the audio panel (turn on/off com2, nav1, adf...) from buttons on my hardware. So far I havent had any luck. Assigning keys within msfs 2024 doesnt seem to work, sending SIMCONNECT events or updating variables neither. Is this not possible? Regards

@DC1973 Fun Fact #3 - Because the airbase was on the edge of the Royal Palace, we were not allowed to fly past 10 pm unless we had a planned exercise or it was a real emergency. In the height of the Cold War and because we were one of the main interceptor squadrons for when the Soviets would test us, this did happen more than one would think.

@JGS Go into your settings and controls. Bind a key to Pause and Unpause. I don't know why they decided to make these two different commands, but they did. Normally it would be P to do both functions. I have mine set to P for Pause, Shift+P to unpause. Active Pause won't work for this. It's a shame that Asobo didn't make this a default thing but whatever. That's the solution even if it doesn't make sense. Maybe the AH devs can add this as a note near the option for Auto Pause so that others don't have this issue.

@DC1973 said in F-15 Bug Reports/feedback: @Marin_Marinov Hi, glad you're enjoying the Eagle! The issue with some users in the cockpit with FPS loss seems to be linked to the gauges, especially the HUD. I might have a solution to it and am testing at the moment. If it works out, then it will be with the first update later this week Great, glad to hear that. Keep up the awesome work.

@Samey101 Just letting you know that these aircraft types now have their own folders, so they show up as separate aircraft. This week's update will have that sorted.
