None or very little fuel will reach the cylinders during priming if the throttle is at idle, hence the call for "Throttle - Full Open" in the checklist. If you want to see how much fuel is being injected into the cylinders check out the engine visualizer on the tablet. Let me know if you need anything else

Just wanted to follow up again; I realize above I tested and saw it was not a regression, but the manual and check lists specifically call out the same double depress as other BS aircraft. In the Bonanza it takes three. Which is the correct behavior?

Nick? Anyone? I feel silly even asking but I would think there would be some indications of a fire.

It seems pretty consistent, although one time it showed a light grey rectangle instead of the registration.

@SnakeDoc I assume that happened, but I can double check with Just Flight. Sorry for the confusion. It was only live for an hour or two! You guys are fast movers

Here is Rob's mod.. it seems to refer to the G36 model, so confused at to how that would conflict.. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/vz8qm9ya1c9nr6raz0a5m/AKsFJ1WfeOLuotNtPYdckhM?rlkey=2kjgy1vms12p1i4f63bsysq97&st=g8y645p9&dl=0

This is my single greatest pain point with MSFS 2024. For the Baron and Bonanza, I went from having to create, maintain, and export 10 models for the user aircraft in MSFS 2020 to 90 models for MSFS 2024. Unfortunately, from a user perspective, even individual parts of the aircraft (like the landing gear, as you note) are automatically culled, regardless of the LOD model. Even objects in the cockpit will be removed if you zoom out too far, like while using a VR headset. I imagine these changes were designed to promote better performance on console. I'm very sorry that your ability to create videos with my aircraft has been diminished. I think that it's a major regression myself too. Now, I haven't tried this... and I suspect it will still cull the small objects... but it's worth a shot. If you enable developer mode and navigate to the Options -> Debug Model LOD menu, you will find options like, "freeze LOD selection" that could give you more crisp models for your videos. Let me know how that works for you. Do you have any videos you might want to share? I've always been into film, so flight simulation videos combine two of my favorite hobbies

Thanks again for your time. When I get back into flight sim myself I’ll definitely be picking up one of your planes! Cheers

my link doesn't load for me, either. this one works... https://docs.flightsimulator.com/msfs2024/html/6_Programming_APIs/SimVars/Aircraft_SimVars/Aircraft_RadioNavigation_Variables.htm?rhpgno=3#TRANSPONDER_STATE Looks like MS just has transponder state defined twice, once as a simvar in general and again for its use in a flight definitions file. They both say the same thing. I set all of mine to 4 in the .FLT files so that my external hardware agrees with what's in the sim.

Every aircraft has its own file where it was installed to, so it will only effect that one. Make a copy first though. But have you thought to just make a seperate controller curve in the msfs native controllers GUI for that aircraft? There are plenty of YouTube videos that can take you through that process, it's easy and you would have far more control over the outcome. I have several aircraft with custom curves for rudder or elevators, especially some choppers and their pesky torque pedals. Here is one for eg, right at the end he talks about saving the profile for the C172. You'll figure it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxi73gZhXDE

Circuit #48 should do the trick as long as the avionics switch is on. Circuit #38 is some panel lighting circuit. You could try circuit #2 if you wanted to bypass the switch and just use battery power. Your files look like a pretty good start! I'll send you a quick message on your contact form so you can get in touch with me directly, in case it makes anything easier.

You're speaking of the beta range? That's by design. It is disabled in flight by default (the "Unrestricted Beta Range" tablet option. If you really want to have an additional lock-out/virtual-gate on the ground, you could create a simple script in something like FSUIPC or SPAD, or I could even provide some custom if you need it to achieve exactly what you're looking for.

@804737 thanks, I figured that is what you were doing because it looks very realistic. And it's funny (in VR) i tried to shade it with my hand.. Unfortunately it didn’t work, lol. I’ll fool around with the contrast as well. Again, great job!

@Black-Square said in Autopilot with HSI free & Pitot block: @topfen said in Autopilot with HSI free & Pitot block: When the HSI gyro is free and the heading is slewed, the autopilot will follow the actual heading in HDG mode instead of the heading bug on the Gyro. I just happened to be in the right neighborhood to spot a flag in the SDK I had never seen before to enable this behavior. I guess I didn't see it in the past, because it had no default listed, so I would not have assumed that the default behavior was for the autopilot to be driven by the magnetic compass... Glad that's working now! Nobody is probably happier at these little features than I am, haha. Thanks for putting this in my mind recently. It will be rolled out to the entire fleet after SU4. I'm very happy to see that you're coming back to this! Meanwhile I had some fun watching the magnetic compass swing left and right while toggling the windshield heat on and off again.
