The same for me with the King Air and Caravan. You see it in selection but the flight never fully loads.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I know JF is very busy with the new RJ, so I appreciate it. I'll try what you mentioned, not just for the Tomahawk, but for the BkSq mods as well.

The TFR does not have a coupled autopilot mode in the Vulcan. Once an altitude is set on the TFR height selector, the pitch attitude required to maintain that height above the terrain will be displayed by the flight director. This is how is works in the real aircraft too.

On starting the game, everything works fine. Both the GPS and VLOC guidance work and I can switch between them, manipulate the course and frequencies, etc.

But press the NAV 2 on the remote datum selector panel, and from this point onwards, the aircraft's autopilot and HSI refuse to take guidance from the GNS530 unit. Switching back to NAV 1 does not help.

The GNS530 unit itself is unaffected, and both VOR's work normally. You can even still change the frequency of the NAV 1 VOR using the Garmin unit. But no more GPS guidance until exit to main menu and load in a new plane.

Now, not necessarily a bug, but something I found interesting to note and maybe has something to do with the bug. But the Garmin exclusively seems to interact with the NAV 1 radio.

The frequencies on the Garmin's NAV radio datafield, and of the aircraft's analogue NAV 1 radio seem to mirror eachother. Changing frequency on the Garmin, changes it on the NAV 1 radio, and vice versa. Hitting the V switch key on the Garmin sets the new active frequency on the NAV 1 radio aswell.

But the NAV 2 radio is completely unaffected by anything you do on the Garmin and vice versa?

Not a bug per se, but I'm pretty curious why that happens?

Hi jmarkows. That question opens a Pandora’s box!

The phraseology and naming of approach types for the equipment has changed several times during the past 25 or so years. It doesn’t help that the USA have their own designations and that the 146 did not use the UNS 1. Normal equipment fits used to be Trimble or GNS, GNS-X, GNS Enchanted. The Universal SCN 1001.X system raised the bar by introducing certification that improved the RNAV capabilities and introduced RNP capability AND Automatic Dependent Surveillance.

I have used versions of the UNS 1 on other aircraft. As with the GNS-X it was capable of what used to be termed BRNAV - that is point to point NAV using GPS input along airways, SID, STARS. The UNS I’s that I used was also capable of VNAV approach too, but there were limitations - but don’t ask me what they were - not quite ILS limits though.

But it’s not just about the FMS type as to what the aircraft is capable of. There is also the requirement for integration and certification with the aircraft type, pilot training, and company approval.

I would suggest that the equipment would be capable ‘in simworld’ of airways, SID, STARS and possibly lateral navigation such as an overlayed VOR/NDB/LLZ approach with vertical profile flown as a continuous descent approach (CDA) using V/S mode.

BTW, you mention RVSM in passing. I think only one 146 is operated as RVSM capable. The primary reason for this that the type (apart from the above mentioned aircraft) is certified for 30,000 (original aircraft delivered to Australia is 31,000). Getting there is a struggle at high weights and temperatures! Went there a few times for the tailwinds (pre RVSM days) and I don’t think we saw more than 210 kts IAS until descent… Oh happy days.

With the release of MSFS24 tomorrow, what are the plans for the next update?
Will the update for the MSFS20 version finally be released?
Will there be a product update for the MSFS24 version?
Some clarification on this would be nice.

Thank you for the feedback. It certainly won't take too much longer for the next Hawk update. A new flight model for the Hawk has been in development since the last update with the goal of fixing all the feedback we have received. These things take time, but we would rather take the time to release the update only once we are confident the feedback we have received has been addressed.

A request to the next update to replace the transponder, otherwise the fantastic plane will unfortunately have to be grounded. It is no longer possible to fly into Carlie airspace in Europe and in the USA in Class A,B,C Airspace. The transponder must be able to do Mode C and ADS-B Out. If you want it to be as realistic as possible, pay attention to something like this, would be good if that were feasible. I like the plane.

    Hello,

after SU 11 there are no ILS approches and also no other like VOR DME, RNAV possible at this airport. The developer of this airport should be an upgrade publishing.
More information find in the MS Flight Simulator Forum:

I hope for an fast solution.

Your best bet would be to let Just Flight suppport know and they can look into it. There is a link on the website www.justflight.com

@ifrit The only thing I've found that shuts off the engines (and it's not in the checklist) are the Engine Starters (the ones under the covers). Dean maintains a very active Discord channel, support is much better there. Hopefully I can paste a link here to it: https://discord.gg/bSnV87x9

I asked in Discord, and the checklist is out of date, one of the Devs sent me a YouTube of the shutdown, which is basically the same I've developed on my own.

so many airliners in MSFS now its enough to make me gag and pilots in the sim dont think past them for getting new aircraft.
Dont get me wrong i like flying them but there are other great aircraft that can be had.
But recently there was a free release of the DC-3 or C-47
This has been a very popular aeroplane in the community and its become my fav now in MSFS2020.

In FSX i had your version of Curtiss C-46 Commando. I would love to see this worked on and be ported over to MSFS2020 and most of the work on it has already been done, it just has to be converted to MSFS2020 protocols.

    This would be an amazing
    Please think about this .

    Starpirat

Not developed in-house by us and is quite old in software terms. It would have to be built pretty much from scratch for MSFS.

If you bought direct from JF you would have been sent an email when the MSFS version was released.

Had a look back and can't seem to find the email, what can we do?

It was sent on 8th December 2020 if that helps? If not, your best bet would be to get in touch with JF support.

@taipan303 said in Notification of updates:

@derek it's nothing to do with point 1. Your point 1 was about a new customer buying a product and the T&Cs etc. The whole 5 point process you described is the status quo. I wouldn't be making a suggestion if that process wasn't bad.

My suggestion wasn't about the purchase process or the 5 point process you have - my suggestion is for something NEW.

My suggestion is to allow a customer to re-subscribe manually to product updates.

It doesn't matter if there was a previous unsubscription, because permission is given anew by re-subscribing. There's no company in the world I've ever dealt with that doesn't allow someone to subscribe again overriding previous unsubscriptions. If they ever did I'd just change my email address but I don't have to because when I re-subscribe it's explicit permission to email me again.

I think you're arguments are just hashing over the reason why I didn't receive emails originally... when I just want to suggest something new and it's not being understood.

I do get the point - you are asking for a system that, when someone has unsubscribed, they can resubscribe but only to receive product updates. Definitely possible in theory. But.... I am not sure how receptive the mail services would be to such a suggestion and whether the work involved would pay off or open us up to spamming accusations. Customers would have to know they needed to reusbscribe after unnsubscribing and I am not sure that many customers are affected. For most "go away and stop bothering me" really does mean that.

See? Patience really is a virtue :-)

Sorry for the long-time P3D users but very happy for the rest of us (and me). Commercially from a JF view, this has to be as close to a no-brainer as you're going to get.

Now I can start checking the in dev page constantly waiting for news on a -200F variant
