Hi folks, I notice on the APU panel in FS2024, when you shut the APU down, the RPM and TGT both spool down slowly. Of course, I don't have access to real a/c as JF do (and Ryan, who is very helpful on these forums), but my understanding, purely from footage I've watched, is that the APU doesn't really spool down so much as shut straight off, and both gauges simply flick straight to nought (always struck me as odd on the 146, that). This is certainly the case (and simulated) in the JF 146. Is this different on the RJ IRL? Or is this a bit of a bug/sim-ism?

@Black-Square said in CDU and MFD buttons bug when assigned in axis and ohs: What events are you using for those interactions in Axis and Ohs? I assume the ones at the end of my manual in the Inputs/Outputs section? Well.. not really. I was looking to map the letter CDU buttons (1ABC, 2DEF etc) but I don't see those in the manual, only the line select so I downloaded a profile where the letters supposedly worked on a winwing MCDU but I don't have one so I tried re-mapping them to the virpil push buttons. For example, the profile uses H:CDU_3Button_1 for 3DEF button but when I remap it, nothing happens when pressed.

Managed to get on before leaving. Did a proper reinstall still the same. Convinced it was something in my settings. Had a look around and not one of my switches wasn’t in the same position as usual. Flicked that to the normal position and bingo. It was mapped to ‘toggle engine 1 fuel value‘. Removed the binding so won’t happen again. Once again thanks for your reply. It made me do more digging.

I think it must be the navdata for that particular airport. Possibly the third party addon messing with it. When I tried a different airport (KSRQ) it worked just fine. The SID from KATL also worked just fine in both flight plans.

Yeah would be very nice to get the amazing 146 into 2024 for sure ... I fear that the F70/100 will be ahead of getting the 146 moved up. Hopefully some news soon

I was having similar issues, but I think I fixed them with settings. I already had aircraft traffic quantity and parked a/c quantitiy to none, but there's another setting called "characters quantity". I have no idea what that is, but turning that off too seemed to fix it. Now I load into a major airport and there's traffic all over. With "characters quantity" on I was getting either no traffic, or like a single plane. Just posting this in case it helps anyone else out.

Typically, behaviour such as this will be related to a control assignment conflict. An easy way to confirm if this is the case is to unplug all your external hardware (Joystick, Throttle Quadrant, etc.) and then take off using only the mouse and keyboard. If the landing gear/hydraulic issue no longer exists with just the keyboard and mouse plugged in, then it is likely a control conflict with your other hardware. If this behaviour persists, could I kindly ask you to raise a ticket with Just Flight Support via the following link and one of our support team will be able to assist with further troubleshooting: https://www.justflight.com/support Mark - Just Flight

@Delta558 No worries, have fun! I investigated it a bit further in the meantime. The trim tab seems to have a lot more impact on the overall lift coefficient than the elevator itself - which is odd to me. I tried to map my joystick to the trim axis and the trim to the elevator axis and that actually gave me realistic control over it in slow flight (looks very funny to steer that thing but only the trim tab moves). Can you try landing that thing without trimming it, because that seems to be the core of my problem - i.e. without trim, no slow flight possible because elevator alone cannot create enough lift with that low power setting.

@village1111 said in LEPA - No ILS and no other approaches since SU 11 possible: Hello, after SU 11 there are no ILS approches and also no other like VOR DME, RNAV possible at this airport. The developer of this airport should be an upgrade publishing. More information find in the MS Flight Simulator Forum: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/airports-with-custom-ils-broken-since-su11/557724 I hope for an fast solution. Your best bet would be to let Just Flight suppport know and they can look into it. There is a link on the website www.justflight.com https://www.justflight.com/support

@ifrit The only thing I've found that shuts off the engines (and it's not in the checklist) are the Engine Starters (the ones under the covers). Dean maintains a very active Discord channel, support is much better there. Hopefully I can paste a link here to it: https://discord.gg/bSnV87x9 I asked in Discord, and the checklist is out of date, one of the Devs sent me a YouTube of the shutdown, which is basically the same I've developed on my own. https://youtu.be/gYfV51Zfj2Q

@starpirat said in Curtiss Commando: so many airliners in MSFS now its enough to make me gag and pilots in the sim dont think past them for getting new aircraft. Dont get me wrong i like flying them but there are other great aircraft that can be had. But recently there was a free release of the DC-3 or C-47 This has been a very popular aeroplane in the community and its become my fav now in MSFS2020. In FSX i had your version of Curtiss C-46 Commando. I would love to see this worked on and be ported over to MSFS2020 and most of the work on it has already been done, it just has to be converted to MSFS2020 protocols. This would be an amazing Please think about this . Starpirat Not developed in-house by us and is quite old in software terms. It would have to be built pretty much from scratch for MSFS.

@pilot_paul said in Lanzarote GCRR taxiway issue: Since the latest MSFS 40th Anniversary update there is now a massive hill between taxiway R4 and R5 making the scenery unusable. @mrrick said in Air Hauler 2 MSFS discount: @derek said in Air Hauler 2 MSFS discount: If you bought direct from JF you would have been sent an email when the MSFS version was released. Had a look back and can't seem to find the email, what can we do? It was sent on 8th December 2020 if that helps? If not, your best bet would be to get in touch with JF support.

@taipan303 said in Notification of updates: @derek it's nothing to do with point 1. Your point 1 was about a new customer buying a product and the T&Cs etc. The whole 5 point process you described is the status quo. I wouldn't be making a suggestion if that process wasn't bad. My suggestion wasn't about the purchase process or the 5 point process you have - my suggestion is for something NEW. My suggestion is to allow a customer to re-subscribe manually to product updates. It doesn't matter if there was a previous unsubscription, because permission is given anew by re-subscribing. There's no company in the world I've ever dealt with that doesn't allow someone to subscribe again overriding previous unsubscriptions. If they ever did I'd just change my email address but I don't have to because when I re-subscribe it's explicit permission to email me again. I think you're arguments are just hashing over the reason why I didn't receive emails originally... when I just want to suggest something new and it's not being understood. I do get the point - you are asking for a system that, when someone has unsubscribed, they can resubscribe but only to receive product updates. Definitely possible in theory. But.... I am not sure how receptive the mail services would be to such a suggestion and whether the work involved would pay off or open us up to spamming accusations. Customers would have to know they needed to reusbscribe after unnsubscribing and I am not sure that many customers are affected. For most "go away and stop bothering me" really does mean that.
