I had the same issue the first few times I flew the aircraft after purchasing. The exterior light switches are in very different locations, though, and I later noticed that I kept forgetting to turn on the strobe light before takeoff (at the upper right overhead panel) which is one of the prerequisites for the callouts. Ref the engine rigging stuff in the AMM - it appears the Idle Ng's in the sim are set bit high? [image: 1f971ced-fe68-4391-90a0-3d26d06e766a.png] The current numbers correspond with other -67 installations on other aircraft, but I guess Starship is tad different. Patrick

@miked176766 I think I have found the problem. I purchased the PA38 Tomahawk on the MSFS 2020 Marketplace and this updated in MSFS 2020 on Friday (20/06/25). This worked fine in MSFS 2020. I ran MSFS 2024 and looked in my Library for the PA38 Tomahawk which still shows as the 2020 version not certified for MSFS 2024. I set this version to install and stream. On running the aircraft it loaded and allowed me to enter the cockpit. I tested for full control movement stick and rudder which both showed full movement. On starting the engine I could only get aileron movement, no elevator or rudder. With this version still set to stream the loss of elevator and rudder is passed on to the PA28’s that are installed as MS 2024 certified. If I then set the PA 38 to disabled the PA 28’s all return to normal rudder and aileron behaviour. My conclusion is that until we have an MSFS 2024 certified copy of the PA38 Tomahawk in the marketplace this problem will persist.

@Delta558 thanks for checking! Of course not, but knowing pilots making error (which is how I ended up even thinking about this)

The F70 and F100 won't have a failure system at release, but its on the feature request tracker as something to consider post-release. Mark - Just Flight

We're aiming to finish work on the 146 upgrade and MSFS 2024 compatibility in July.

The throttle axis snapping between IDLE and 100% is likely the result of the control conflict. Do you perhaps have any controls assigned to "TOGGLE ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE" or "SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE"? Those assignments are used to move the throttle lever between the HP OFF and IDLE positions, so they could be 'fighting' against the throttle axis position. Mark - Just Flight

I don't have 2024 but have a look at your weight and balance. Do you have 2 pilots or 1? If 1, could just be the offset weight of a single pilot.

The real-world aircraft does have a difference in elevator deflection angles on each side of neutral (+16 degrees and -8 degrees off the top of my head), so it is expected behaviour to see the difference in movement range. However, from my discussions with our flight model developer, the difference in elevator deflection angle on either side of neutral is something MSFS doesn't handle all too well, so the small deflection angle is necessary in order to preserve the handling qualities of the aircraft. Essentially, even with that small deflection angle that you are seeing in the latest build, the aircraft should have a similar level of effectiveness as if it had the larger deflection angle. Hope that helps. Mark - Just Flight

@mace_rb There was ( is? ) a very neat mod for Kerbal Space Program of all things, which analysed the shape of your vehicle using voxels in order to calculate wave drag, along with prroviding some half decent aerodynamics ( and some analysis tools that probably did more for my understanding of fluid dynamics than a year at uni ). I think that was done in something like 2015, too. I was rather expecting something similar here, I can't believe they're really basically giving you a tube - what is there for wings? anything at all?

@martyn said in Piper 28-181 Archer II: @piper28dennis83 We don't have an Archer II in development but our Archer III will be coming to MSFS: https://www.justflight.com/product/pa28-181-archer-iii-x-plane Is the GA team just going to concentrate on porting existing aircraft ( until they run out of them at least ) or could something like a PA-24 be considered? despite it being about the same size as the 28s that's a very different beast - which I guess means a much longer development period. It might be possible to have too many PA-28s

@clarked3 You should receive a ticket number automatically. If you don't then try again.

@darthmelbius said in Black Square Velocity Canard Elevator Moves Wrong Direction: Not sure where we post bugs but the elevator on the canards operate in the wrong direction. Pulling back the stick the elevator should go down not up as with conventional aircraft. If you can raise a support ticket at Just Flight's support they can look into it: https://support.justflight.com/support/home https://support.justflight.com/support/tickets/new

@dc1973 and thanks Atebis for your answer. I haven't flown Concorde lately because I was stuck with this. I followed the 2 procedure versions the manual and the checklist. Now sometimes the game has to be started and restarted and things will be fine. I will jump into the concorde cockpit, cross my fingers and try again All the best Julean

@jumboag Not seen this myself but I do notice that controls on my MSFS need "wiping out" before take off otherwise the settings don't seem to be detected ( ailerons are super sensitive for instance ). Once moved to their limits, they work fine again. Seems to be MSFS related ( I'm on a X-52 pro )

It appears the BAE 146 currently uses the sim database, probably courtesy of the WT4 FMS onboard. When they implement the new one, perhaps then it'll be something Navigraph can update. For now, I think it's enough to have Navigraph update the sim data, though that causes its own set of issues.

@muffo They need power to them from the switches on the long thin panel beneath the lights. All circuit breaker tabs ( white ones along the same panel ) should be in the "up" position.
