I am having major issues with the Arrow AP. I don't want its altitude hold feature active, I want to control the trim myself. I don't know if it's my logitech AP unit or what but the plane never seems to want to stop holding altitude. Because there is no switch just a clickspot, I can't tell whether altitude hold is supposed to be on or off, and my bindings for altitude and heading hold seem to do nothing in this plane. I'd like an option in the ipad to disable the clickspot and all the altitude features of the Arrows so they NEVER take control of trim, and the AP works as it would in real life, please. And ideally I'd like the "Heading Hold On" and "Heading Hold Off" bindings to work so I can use my switches instead of the mouse.

I think it might be my logitech AP unit interfering, so I will test with it unplugged, but it seems pot luck whether I can get the AP in the Arrow to release control of trim.

@Mark Thanks for your reply. From that I gleaned that the AP disconnect is not a feature of the aircraft so perhaps something might be wrong on my end.

I did a long testflight during which I unplugged my yoke and throttle quadrant and that seemed to cure the AP disconnect. After reconnecting the AP disconnected again after a while.

I checked the yoke sensivity setting in MSFS and noticed there was a "reactivity" setting I have never touched before. It showed 100 so I changed that to 98, on a hunch that this might filter out these spikes.

I did a long test flight with this setting and did not have a AP disconnect. The funny thing is, when I set it back to 100 I also did not have these AP disconnects anymore.

When I later checked for spikes using VKB Joytester I noticed that the yoke was indeed sending spikes once in a while, very short bursts but off the scale.
These did not lead to AP disconnects since I already touched the reactivity setting in MSFS.

Even after a very, very long flight the AP disconnect did not return except once when I changed GPS instruments on the tablet during a flight.

Perhaps the original value of the reactivity setting was not set properly in MSFS internally so setting it to 98 and then back to 100 reset something in MSFS.
Sorry for the long reply but hopefully someone else with a similar issue might benefit from this.

@jaspar11 I have just tested this and I am seeing the tail plan position indicator move between +5 and -3 by triggering the elevator trim assignments, so that sounds like there may be some other controller conflict that may be preventing the trim from working correctly for you.

If you could kindly contact Just Flight support via the following link, they will be able to run through some troubleshooting steps with you to get you up and running: https://www.justflight.com/support

I found that triggering failures, at least manually, rarely makes the system actually fail. In most cases only the annunciators are lit.

Described this in the neighbor topic about the fuel system.

@TrailerSwift89 These codes are three-character IATA aircraft type codes as opposed to the four-character ICAO aircraft type codes that you have referenced. FS Traffic uses IATA codes as that is what is used in the databases.

    Hello,

I'm really enjoying the F28 But I noticed that the engine smoke and the contrails do not align which looks rather odd:

It would be great if this could get fixed.

    Thanks a lot

I've been waiting patiently (mostly) for this one, since I began learning to fly in a PA-38 back in June 2022. I'm so excited that I'll finally be able to fly the same aircraft in the sim and the real world, especially in the run up to my skills test.

I have a problem using RadNav devices on the concorde. Sadly somehow i'm not able to use the OBS knob. The CRS needle just stays on the North position no matter the entered course. Tried all methods: Using the VOR/LOC REF Knob on the A/P Panel, Using the OBS on the bottom right on the HSI and also tried to input CRS via FMC. I only get the derivation but with the needle always pointing North.
You Cant even really use it like a CDI.

BTW the needle turns just fine in INS Mode.

We would like to bring our Archer III into MSFS one day, but it's not something that is currently being worked on. At this time we wouldn't be able to provide any sort of timeframe for when it may be available for MSFS, but we'll be sure to let everyone know via our in-development page and social media channels if that changes.

@gjereza Any GA aircraft models can be added to the FS Traffic fleet by adding the "Title=" entry from the aircraft.cfg into the respective livery field on the "Liveries" page of the Traffic Control Centre app, and then flights can be added for that aircraft on the "Schedules Manager" page. It is important to note that any aircraft added to the FS Traffic fleet must be fully MSFS compatible and preferably be a model that is optimised to be used as AI traffic.

The FS Traffic manual can be downloaded via the following link if you would like to read more about this process: https://downloads.justflight.com/products/JFF003616/FSTraffic_MSFS_manual.pdf

Yes, we have implemented some Autopilot controls on the Tomahawk's EFB that can be used for basic autopilot modes such as Heading Hold, Nav Mode, and Altitude Hold. These will also be able to be triggered using control assignments.

The stock MSFS binding Throttle Axis 1 (0-100) gives me the full range of forward, beta, and reverse thrust on the 850 (also the Caravan).

Sorry I didn't see this post for a while. You may have posted it before we created the general Black Square category on the forums. That center screen is a GTN 750. It should come on if you have either the PMS50 GTN 750 (freeware or payware), or the TDS GTNxi (payware) installed. The free GTN 750 can be obtained here.

A big second from me. The modeling and texturing work on the F28 is so immaculate, having that on a vintage turboprop like the F27/FH227 would be fantastic.

    Hi,
It's something we've wanted to do for a while now, and we've made plans to begin work on one next year.

I was never aware the VC10 was not a home grown Justflight product. Thats interesting. Very sad that not enough people, even now in the MSFS crowd have more interest in the vintage stuff. Very sad to see them all harping on about yet another A320 for instance. And not enough of them are beginning to spread their wings (pun intended) and learn some aviation history.

I've noticed this too! The proportions in the EFB all look a bit off, don't they?

@Tsolis Loading/unloading simulation is something we have considered adding to the EFB in the past. It's not something we are currently working on, but it is a feature that we could feasibly add in a future update to all of our airliners. Thanks again for the feedback!

@gfmarino81 I'm getting something similar on RNP/RNAV approaches. When I hit the APP button the lateral mode switches from NAV to APP and when it hits the 'glide' sometimes it switches from VS to GS and descends with the procedure but other times it will stay in VS but still descend (from platform altitude) and other times it sails right through the glide and I have to use VS to descend. Very odd. Using the TDS Nxi.

    Hello,
Thank you that's what I did and got a response.
    I'll try to apply it.
