    I noticed when loading a flight in the air and the engines are off, it usually helps to restart the flight or load the same flight again. For me it always fixed the problem that the engines don't start. Maybe it is related to state saving, which I have enabled in the EFB options.

    This isn't something we have experienced during testing on Xbox, but it is plausible that it may just be a performance-coping measure that is handled internally by the simulator on Xbox.

    Just speculation here as I don't have any knowledge of how the simulator works behind the scenes, but it may be that the simulator wants to keep a constant frame rate at all times, and to do that it is adjusting the scenery quality based on the current simulator's demands. So if you are flying a complex aircraft in scenery-intensive areas, it will have to reduce something to keep a constant frame rate, so it's choosing to reduce the scenery quality rather than the aircraft texture quality.

    I sadly suspect this is an issue that is out of our control but we will continue to monitor this issue and investigate internally for any possible improvements we can make in future updates.

    Hi all,

    The EFB errors mentioned in this thread we believe are caused when the departure, destination, or alternate airport in the simBrief flight plan does not have any METAR data available. This will cause a red "METAR" error message to appear at the top right corner of the EFB, and potentially a "Loading..." message on the OFP page.

    This is something we are currently investigating and we are confident a fix can be developed and included in the next update to the 146 Professional.

    @lancealotg You have to way for flying: per VOR or HDG or RNAV. This pointer shows you the next navigation waypoint if you have programed your route in the FMC. If you select VOR NAV you will navigate with the VOR and HDG and the pointer willshow you the next programmed waypoint. If you fly with RNAV the HSI will agree with the diamond showing you the deviation from the navtrack.

    @dirkster That's it yup.

    Watch the second landing I think... they don't touch the throttle as far as I can tell.

    I guess they just know their aircraft so well.

    @gabe777 Yes, a pretty good one too. There is one linked on the product page where I'm not sure if it's the current one (it was a prerelease version with some issues when I last checked), and a more recent copy is in <your community folder>\justflight-aircraft-146\Documents.

    There is a pitch control toggle on the Pedestal.

    If you engage VS on the MCP, it will engage the AP and maintain your current VS rate.

    You can then use the Pitch control to adjust this.

    Or, if stable with AP Altitude ON... change the value in the Altitude window, then hit VS on the MCP, and adjust the VS rate using the pitch control.

    It will only work if you change the altitude.

    I use a button box with small trim wheels / Streamdeck, which makes this easier... but I'm sure you can find the relevant commands and assign a pair of buttons/rocker switch on one of your controllers ?

    (Don't forget VS should only really be used for small changes in altitude. IAS is the safest way)

    The Desc mode referred to above is not really relevant... it just tells you the minimum N2 (?) required for electrical systems etc to work properly.

    @mark Thank you!

    It is good to know that it is not something that I am doing wrong and that you are on it.

    @voice-of-reason It is wild to me how much of this is outsourced.

    Most specialist developers in flight and train simulation - in fact, a huge percentage across the entire games industry - are freelance. Given the global nature of the industry this is simply how things work nowadays. The development of Flight Simulator itself was outsourced and I would be surprised if all the development was done by Asobo's (the company to which it was outsouced) employees beavering away at desks 9-5 in their offices in Bordeaux. We have a number of people working at Just Flight and Just Trains 'on the books' but we also work with freelancers. Some on a regular basis and some for one-off projects.

    Looks like you have an issue with keybinds, which is constantly sending the signal that engine 1 and 2 is in cutoff.
    So check you controllers - might be a toggle switch bound to something (like the 2 eng switches on the thrustmaster airbus throttle for example).

    Quick check in the manual suggests it could be "SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE" but i would also check if you have anything bound related to mixture.

    All good now.

    I'm getting confused between N1 and Temp target under MCT mode. The display has 3 numbers but there's a decimal point ... for N1 ... no decimal point and it's temp.

    What a thicko 😁

    I hadn't read the manual ... fully.
