Thanks for your reply. That’s understood fully. There are a few aircraft on the market place on Xbox that allow if you press jettison it removes the we[on from the payload which is a little more immersive. So not specifically seeing the weapon drop but as close as we can get etc. would this be possible for the marketplace versions at some point? The aircraft that allow this are the IFE aircraft. Sorry for name dropping another developer but it adds to the immersion that big extra.
Cheers

Yeah that makes sense, seems like woth an aircraft that could have that many variations you would overrun the budget really quick if you started trying to represent every little thing it could have. Thank you for all the info as well, very educational
Your explanations are always complete and thorough. Thank you every time you provide them. I have already replicated this behavior with SPAD.neXt. Regards.
Yeah, I looked a lot closer at this, and I have now decided that I just couldn't see the instrument lights, and it's not a bug. I can see the instruments well enough, but was expecting a bit more illumination if I turned on the lights. All good.

Perhaps I need to go to MSFS forums with more traffic.
I'm not sure there is a Mosquito for MSFS yet. What software are you referring to?
Stand down everyone. I figured it out. Well, not so much 'figured' but stumbled upon it. You know the saying 'If you throw enough s**t at the wall, some of it will stick'? That the method I used.
@Black-Square Thank you for the clear and honest explanation — that makes perfect sense now.
I understand the limitation of MSFS using a single, rather crude crash detection system for multiple failure cases, and why this forces a compromise.
While it’s not entirely satisfying from a realism standpoint, I appreciate the transparency and the fact that this is a platform limitation rather than a design choice.
Thanks again for taking the time to explain it in detail.
