@Black-Square I double‑checked the electrical circuits, circuit breakers, EFB failures, and radio height simvar. I tested both the cargo and passenger variants, used only the default livery, and even tapped the instrument glass a few times, but I still couldn’t get any needle movement. Any other ideas on what might be causing this issue?

If that's the case, then it suggests that the GTN is still writing to the message variable, even when the feature is disabled. Looking at the current integrator's guide for the GTN, there isn't a mention of the the original message variable, so I would have to go looking through the code to see if the disabled state is exposed. I'll mention this to the developer next time we're speaking.

@SadBucket Somehow I doubt the canard wing lobby is very strong in MSFS and will convince Asobo to do it Either way, not saying it's easy, but it's Nick after all, if somebody can do it, then it's him.

@Black-Square Sorry about that one - for some reason I thought real taxiways changed the pavement markers too. Here's another one today: CYHZ Runway 32/14 - all of the signs say 23-05. Runway 23-05 is correctly marked. Let me know if you want me to continue to tag you on these - or just post and let you get to them when you can.

Assuming the updated manual will be released before the next update, Just Flight normally takes a bit before the downloads are updated themselves.

Hello everyone, I'm having some issues with "NAV" and "APR" modes. The issue is that it never shows the "ARM" status, but only shows the "green" status, even when the mode is not active yet. For example: I'm on HDG mode, and far away from me I have a GPS track that I want to intercept. When I press NAV mode, it shows directly as green, even though I'm still in HDG mode and not following or intercepting the track yet. It shows HDG and NAV being "active" at the same time. Shouldn't be showing ARM until it's close to the track and the interception starts? And then NAV in green when is actually following the track? Same with ILS, you don't know when the APR is actually engaged or not, you don't get that feedback. The GTN 750 integrated autopilot indeed shows when these modes are "Armed" and when they are actually "Active". For contrast, the TBM autopilot shows the 2 modes as active, and nothing armed. Worth to say that I'm using the appropriate CDI Source for each scenario, and that the autopilot captures and follows GPS, VOR and ILS signals just fine. Is there any logic I'm missing? Does anyone else have experienced this? I appreciate any help, many thanks!! (I added a screenshot to better visualize the lack of ARM status) [image: JRPjkydx]

@Buzz It’s not about staring at the plane from the outside, it’s about visual consistency. Since the spinners are part of the pilot's field of view, a static ice effect on a rotating part looks like a glaring oversight. Black Square is known for 'study-level' systems, so the visuals should match that level of detail. As I mentioned, Just Flight has already proven it’s possible to do it right.

Sorry to hear that. To the best of my knowledge, I haven't done anything different in the configuration files between any of my aircraft in this respect. I know this feature has been inconsistent in MSFS 2024 since release, however. Perhaps someone else will chime in with some advice. You could also try Just Flight Support. Since they deal with a lot more aircraft than just my own, they might have seen this before.

I'll fly in any weather, as long as I don't deliberately take off in it and instead let it surprise me at my destination.

@Outermarker Oh that's really cool! I have a wishlist thread on the main msfs forums asking for a native G500/600 architecture. The G1000 is cool and all, but it's limited to just a handful of airframes - can't just drop it into any plane and be realistic. Same with the G3X - it is certified for the Bo, but wouldn't work for the Baron because it's not multi-engine compatible. That's why the G500/600 would be perfect. You could drop it into just about anything and connect it to a GNS or GTN, and still have a lot of the familiar Garmin functionality of the G1000/G3X.

As long as it's an option - and not forced upon the user -, it's fine. I personally don't want anything turning red, blue, etc.

@SadBucket you don’t necessarily need to rummage between different pages. Sky4Sim has already implemented a plugin that integrates its tablet into the MSFS tablet - for instance. If you want to use only Sky4Sim’s features, you can: just select the Sky4Sim icon and the S4S interface will appear and can navigate only the features provided by S4S — the only difference is that it shows up inside the MSFS tablet. It definitely improves immersion, especially in aircraft that already have the “3D MSFS tablet” available.

@jmarkows said in Mapping BKSQ switches not shown in MSFS2024 to Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo: Things like LVars, HVars, etc. need external programs to map them to controllers, the base sim can't do it. Mobiflight is a free tool that does that and has quite the community sourced library of variables already set up. I've never used it to speak to how easy it is to use. There is also FSUIPC, which I use, but has a rather dated UI and it's very manual. There's also SPAD.Next and Axes and Ohs, all of which are payware and come recommended by their users. Thanks - I really appreciate the response. I did some more digging today and have now downloaded SPAD.Next (14 day trial) and found some good examples online.

@SadBucket I think you can fix that issue by changing a few lines in the right config files within the livery structure. I did this with some F28 and other liveries quite a while back, before the F28 was updated to native. I'm sorry I don't have time to dig through and look for it right now, but I'm pretty sure I found the method in this thread: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/unofficial-guide-to-conversion-of-liveries-for-msfs-2024-2020-legacy-aircraft-only/677083/34

Checked it out - found the anchor, found the clipboard too, thank you! I will thoroughly testfly this aircraft, probably somewhere in BC, Canada (as of today ). The manual suggests it's a pretty detailed aircraft which I didn't expect.

@RPGamerous thats so true blue bushflyers itinerary. And why not, you are from Alaska afterall! To tell you the truth, i am greatly inspired myself from shows like ice pilots, channels like missionary bush pilot etc alongwith multiple books that i have read on alaskan and papuan bush flying. So much so that i have even done my research on bush trips in alaska and shall be visiting Africa this year. Currently i am flying (in sim) round the globe. Started off anchorage and flying totally no gps and only dead reckoning hand fly. Currently about to cross into greenland and then onto europe and Africa. So far did in norseman and cessna 172 and now in dc3. Waiting for caravan pro. I like default caravan but just that its glass..

@Black-Square i agree that youll need to pull out the entire root if you think of yanking the bush. And in its current state the sim wont/ cant like that. But maybe implement the gear damage to the extent of default planes? They penalise the poor landings and choice of offairport ops and thus makes the pilots involve themeselves more and thus higher inmersion. Rest of course is your call
