Sunglasses
-
@Black-Square Hi Nick. Something I have noted about MSFS 2024 with it's updated lighting effects is how difficult it can be to see details due to sun and light glare. Of course, IRL pilots use sunglasses to overcome this and help them stay safe when flying or just looking in the direction of the sun.
I have seen on the Microsoft Forums where people have asked for Microsoft/Asobo to implement a "Sunglasses" mode to the simulator, even back in FS2020 days. I've never seen any kind of a response from Asobo about this being possible or not. It seems to me, and others in the forums, that since developers like yourself are able to put visors in the aircraft, that do exactly what we need, with severe limitations on placement, that a "sunglasses" view would be possible, i.e. our view of everything is as if we are looking through the aircraft's visor, instead of just the area of our view covered by the visor.
Knowing your abilities, you seem like just the person to be able to implement a "mod" such as this. I, and many others would gladly pay a premium for the ability to press a button and "Tada!" sunglasses. I've read where some are using filters in ReShade to achieve this effect, but it that doesn't seem practical or realistic!
