Not sure if it's related but the only time I've experienced the 530 turning itself off was when I'd forgotten to turn the alternator on so maybe there's a bug in the power consumption somewhere cause it to not come on at all or randomly fail. Just an idea!

@Sender46 Yes, starting from the inside and nothing can be done about that I think.

@Sender46 , Yes... the Marshaller is the guy with the two flashlights. It's interesting that he appears with that add-on airport, because he doesn't appear at any of the default airports unless these configuration changes are made to the aircraft. The MSFS default GA aircraft all have these configuration settings. I also have my WORKER DENSITY set very low, to get rid of the guys that are just standing around, on the phone, and getting in the way... This might also affect when the Marshaller will appear or not.

Thank you for all the replies. Yes, I was not aware that automixture was set in the assistance options!

@theissondergaard Excellent, thank you for that Strange that VF support didn't tell me about that when they answered my e-mail. Wanting softer toe brakes is exactly why I e-mailed them.

@Blindside Well... that's an interesting find... i can't say i can replicate it as i never turn on VORs in the map filter, but i seem to receive them ok... I still think this is some databse issue. Either way, glad you got it sorted.

Thanks Cristi. I found the problem. I didn't know about the hidden click point near the magnetos to switch from GPS mode to Nav mode. Thanks for trying to help me out much appreciated.

@r2p2 Your external tool probably reads TAS, not IAS. And the TAS scale on your speed indicator is currently broken. Given your conditions, there's no way TAS is 125kt. It should be around 135. This is a known bug and has been reported as fixed for the next update. Until then, read TAS off of the EFB, and/or have a look here: https://community.justflight.com/topic/1902/fixed-tas-scale

Should be added that I have the Saitek multipanel. When flying the Piper, I only use the AP on/off switch, nothing else. Normally, this works just fine. When I had the issue, I tried using the cockpit switches only, but this didn't change anything

@pilot53 I may be wrong, but i don't think there is any aircraft available for MSFS right now that uses a custom flight model. I don't think the SDK is quite there yet.

@vcapra1, The MSFS ON/OFF commands, like the ones for the lights, use two separate commands, one for the ON switch position and one for the OFF position of a toggle switch. If you use these commands the switch cannot be changed in the cockpit with the mouse because it will held in the ON or OFF position by the commands being continuously sent from the Honeycomb switch... But, the SET command uses only one command which is bound to the ON position of the toggle switch, or to a button. When the toggle switch is flipped ON, or button is held down, the ON command is sent to the sim, and when it is released the function is then toggled back OFF, and it is then free to be controlled by the mouse. It sounds like that might be how yours is already set up, since you can control it with the mouse when the ALPHA switch is OFF. The autopilot buttons on the BRAVO are not toggle switches, they are buttons, and are programed by the BRAVO software driver to send the required commands to turn the function ON or OFF. And, since they are not held down and the command is only sent once it doesn't interfere with the mouse control.

This is just a quick note before the weekend to confirm that we are working on a variety of changes to the flight dynamics ahead of the next update and will provide details of those changes ASAP. As ever with flight dynamics, and particularly in MSFS at the moment, there are various limitations/inaccuracies in the flight dynamics engine itself and compromises that have to be made (i.e. tweaking one value for accuracy can often reduce the accuracy of another), so it takes time to make and test all those changes properly.

Thanks for the report. We'll investigate and update the DME speed logic if required.

With these modified settings I get some weird yaw oscillations even as the wings are kept level. It is most noticeable just before landing in a slight crosswind. I haven't done extensive testing but I have verified it isn't present with the default settings. I suppose this is something to do with yaw_stability, but I'm not sure

@set3times I finally flew today for the first time in a while. Surface conditions were 70F today. By the time I got to the run-up area, about 8 minutes had passed. There was no movement of the oil gauge. I did a run-up and still no change. I took off and within a few minutes the needle was off the stop and climbing. About 5 mins into the climb it had reached a stable temperature.
