@weptburrito Thanks for looking into this! This does give me sound on the right brake, and so far I haven't heard the brake "stick" like it used to.

It's still a bit strange, since if I hold the brake halfway down, it sounds like the brake is being repeatedly pressed and released fully, but your modifications fix 2/3 of the problems I was having! I suspect the last one needs changes on a lower level

@vcapra1 The second file you shared is pretty good. There still are some stains on the windshield, but it's much, much better. It's a good balance between having a clean windscreen and seeing that there is a windscreen there at all. For me, that's perfect. Thanks!

Maybe JustFlight can add this as an option in the clean folder? Would be nice.

    That will also be fixed.

Unfortunately this is a quirk of the sim that we haven't found a way to resolve. The beacon is firmly attached to the airframe on the model itself so this is linked to the transparency and/or motion.

@set3times said in Icing conditions - How do I manage it?:

@sluflyer06 The icing simulation in MSFS is just bad and that is a fact.

It is, but I'm still telling you, unless your aircraft is certified for known ice, if there is even the most remote chance of icing in the area, you just don't fly, it can be challenging to find days to fly GA planes in areas that get cold in winter, as it's frequently a problem.

Have you made your other parts of the envelope aren't being negatively impacted? Take-off roll, climb rates, hot and high? I've seen lots of tweaking to the TBM and usually making 1 spot perfect breaks others.

@BernieV said in Power settings for planned descent?:

A sage AP I trust once told me to limit MP reduction to 1 inch per minute to prevent the cylinder heads from cooling too fast.

I heard that too, and i think i heard it from Rod Machado in the FS9 flight school. The training material supplied with that game was really, really good.

@Sender46 said in Engine stop propeller continues to turn ...:

It appears to be an MSFS issue (not just with the Piper Arrow) related to stronger winds that only happens with live weather.

    Ok thanks guys ...

Not sure if it's related but the only time I've experienced the 530 turning itself off was when I'd forgotten to turn the alternator on so maybe there's a bug in the power consumption somewhere cause it to not come on at all or randomly fail. Just an idea!

@Sender46 Yes, starting from the inside and nothing can be done about that I think.

@Sender46 , Yes... the Marshaller is the guy with the two flashlights. It's interesting that he appears with that add-on airport, because he doesn't appear at any of the default airports unless these configuration changes are made to the aircraft. The MSFS default GA aircraft all have these configuration settings. I also have my WORKER DENSITY set very low, to get rid of the guys that are just standing around, on the phone, and getting in the way... This might also affect when the Marshaller will appear or not.

@theissondergaard Excellent, thank you for that :) Strange that VF support didn't tell me about that when they answered my e-mail. Wanting softer toe brakes is exactly why I e-mailed them.

@Blindside Well... that's an interesting find... i can't say i can replicate it as i never turn on VORs in the map filter, but i seem to receive them ok... I still think this is some databse issue. Either way, glad you got it sorted.

Thanks Cristi. I found the problem. I didn't know about the hidden click point near the magnetos to switch from GPS mode to Nav mode.

Thanks for trying to help me out much appreciated.

@r2p2 Your external tool probably reads TAS, not IAS. And the TAS scale on your speed indicator is currently broken. Given your conditions, there's no way TAS is 125kt. It should be around 135. This is a known bug and has been reported as fixed for the next update. Until then, read TAS off of the EFB, and/or have a look here: https://community.justflight.com/topic/1902/fixed-tas-scale

Should be added that I have the Saitek multipanel. When flying the Piper, I only use the AP on/off switch, nothing else. Normally, this works just fine. When I had the issue, I tried using the cockpit switches only, but this didn't change anything
