Currently the tow bar is just a visual feature and, as noted by copper, it automatically toggles when using the MSFS pushback system.

The FSX/P3D version has a custom tow bar panel due to the poor in-built pushback system but I'm not sure if the MSFS version needs one?

The plane they used as a reference doesn't. IRL you can upgrade it to something more modern just like the radios and GPS.

@Phantoms This is exactly what's needed to get what you are asking about.

@Martyn said in Multiple repaint Tail number issue:

Can you confirm what happens if you include the word 'Custom' in the aircraft title for your repaint(s) in the aircraft.cfg? e.g.

    [FLTSIM.12]
title = "Just Flight PA28 Arrow III Custom Repaint" ; Variation name

@Tigerclaw said in Multiple repaint Tail number issue:

I'll look into this. Right now.

    Edit:
Wow, YES that's it. I just inserted the word "Custom" in the Title as you said.
title = "Just Flight PA28 Arrow III Custom_G-XTC6" ; Variation name

And it added the ATC reg number I put in the ATC portion of the aircraft customization screen.

Granted, I still have my "baked-in" number visible, but I changed my ATC number to "G-XXXX", and it shows up on the Fuselage and under the wing as it normally would.
So If I did a paint without any reg on the fuselage and under the wing, the Player reg will show up on any paint with the "Paint" Aircraft.cfg edited accordingly. Thanks for the heads-up @Martyn . I'm sure @JMAviation will be very pleased.

Same here. The propeller keeps spinning after everything has shut down and the wings wobble back and forth like a monkey is jumping up and down. Apart from that, everything else is hunky-dory!

Yes speed is pretty close to ODM values at max gross weight and fuel leaned to fuel flow and not egt, so the issue seems to be the EGT indication and peak.

  • Stall practice?

Simple power on and power off stalls are very docile events in an Arrow. The only time I practice them is for biennial flight checks. I have aileron, flap, and stabilator gap seals so my low speed handling is a tad better than stock. With full power on stalls, its hard to get the plane to stall to the point where the nose drops sharply. It just kind "mushes" through the air and hangs on the prop slowly climbing until you pull the yoke to your lap (assuming you keep the wings level with quick rudder inputs). Power off stalls are a bit easier get the nose to drop during the stall without excessive inputs assuming you are doing them with full flaps and gear down. I've had instructors who like to maintain level flight and then reduce power while holding altitude and I've also been asked to setup a 500 f/m descent and then pull the nose up as though I was flaring until you induce a stall. In either case, the power off stalls are performed with full flaps and gear down. Try to keep altitude lost to less than 100 ft and heading within 20 degrees.

I've just watched a video of the Just Flight PA-28 for P3D. The fuel pump for that aircraft made a continuous noise, unlike the variable noise in the MSFS version.

Is it intentional that the fuel pump sound for the MSFS version includes a higher pitch noise fading in and out? Not a big issue but I like realism and I guess I'm curious more than anything. Feedback from anybody that knows whether this is realistic would be welcome.

That's right, definitely an MSFS issue, I have the same with the FBW A32X.

@Sender46 I had the same constant more like squeaking sound. I pressed down on the toe brakes a few times and can make the same sound. Went away after that. Weird?

@Sender46 Thanks Man, I'll take a look. Can't have JF thinking I don't appreciate all the effort they put in. I was discussing this update with a friend yesterday, and we BOTH came to the conclusion this is the BEST GA addon currently in MSFS.

@Seat7A , You don't need to use the configurator to reassign the switches on the ALPHA or BRAVO... Just open the CONTROLS screen in MSFS and do it like you would for any other device. The configurator is mainly for controlling the LED lights and the rotary knob on the BRAVO, since MSFS doesn't have those functions in the CONTROL screens. Let me know if you need any help changing the switch assignments...

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is it correct that the markings on the TAS scale count by 20 until 140 and then by 10 (i.e. 100, 120, 140, 150, 160 ...)? This doesn't seem right (and it wasn't like this before) but maybe it is actually correct.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, TAS=IAS at ISA, which (i think) is when the 0's are lined up on the top of the TAS wheel, which is not the case in v0.3.0

If anyone else was wondering, I also had this issue with other aircraft, like said above looks like a msfs issue. Was a new patch update today for the sim. Will see if that fixes some issues :)

    Thanks for the feedback

Oh my god, I never checked the fuel tanks, and I just sitting there in the cockpit wondering why that engine would not start :grinning_squinting_face: :man_facepalming_medium-light_skin_tone:

Simply follow the new checklists and you'll be good ;)
