@Googlefluff I have just tried what you said and it seems to have fixed the problem. I now have State Saving turned on without the previous problems.

Yep, you guys made an amazing bird. Such a joy to fly and so well optimized for VR ( I cannot emphasize that enough, excellent work). I get more VR perf out of it than the stock c172 classic. Bravo. I owned the XP version as well and I love how challenging it is to land properly.

@sydel7912 said in Emergency gear stuck in the down emergency gear extension.: @Martyn works fine with state saving disabled. Thanks. It should work correctly with state saving enabled from the next build.

@vcapra1 Ah... That explains why I have only seen it sometimes. Normally I start from cold/dark, so not engaged. But every now and then when I test something I skip the startup and start on the runway. Lock engaged. The real piper I fly does not have that.

@Sender46 @Martyn Thanks.. I already fixed those issues in the first paint kit. Found which layer they were on, and erased them. I started a new paint tonight, using the latest Paint kit, and some parts are really hard to line up. I guess Painters get this all the time, and find ways around it. I’m still learning it all, but I did learn how to line up wing stripes on the elevators tonight. Progress at last Thanks for your replies though.

Currently the GPS 100 can only be used to view information on an already created flight plan (i.e. one created before the flight is started), as well as other info on fuel usage, speed etc. We'll only be able to expand that functionality if Asobo provide greater control of the GPS/flight plan system via WASM gauges. That is currently very limited.

Unfortunately I've still not been able to get the SimConnect functionality to work correctly but will keep trying as Asobo make improvements to the sim.

Currently the tow bar is just a visual feature and, as noted by copper, it automatically toggles when using the MSFS pushback system. The FSX/P3D version has a custom tow bar panel due to the poor in-built pushback system but I'm not sure if the MSFS version needs one?

The plane they used as a reference doesn't. IRL you can upgrade it to something more modern just like the radios and GPS.

@Phantoms This is exactly what's needed to get what you are asking about. @Martyn said in Multiple repaint Tail number issue: Can you confirm what happens if you include the word 'Custom' in the aircraft title for your repaint(s) in the aircraft.cfg? e.g. [FLTSIM.12] title = "Just Flight PA28 Arrow III Custom Repaint" ; Variation name @Tigerclaw said in Multiple repaint Tail number issue: I'll look into this. Right now. Edit: Wow, YES that's it. I just inserted the word "Custom" in the Title as you said. title = "Just Flight PA28 Arrow III Custom_G-XTC6" ; Variation name And it added the ATC reg number I put in the ATC portion of the aircraft customization screen. Granted, I still have my "baked-in" number visible, but I changed my ATC number to "G-XXXX", and it shows up on the Fuselage and under the wing as it normally would. So If I did a paint without any reg on the fuselage and under the wing, the Player reg will show up on any paint with the "Paint" Aircraft.cfg edited accordingly. Thanks for the heads-up @Martyn . I'm sure @JMAviation will be very pleased.

Same here. The propeller keeps spinning after everything has shut down and the wings wobble back and forth like a monkey is jumping up and down. Apart from that, everything else is hunky-dory!

Yes speed is pretty close to ODM values at max gross weight and fuel leaned to fuel flow and not egt, so the issue seems to be the EGT indication and peak.
  • Stall practice?

Simple power on and power off stalls are very docile events in an Arrow. The only time I practice them is for biennial flight checks. I have aileron, flap, and stabilator gap seals so my low speed handling is a tad better than stock. With full power on stalls, its hard to get the plane to stall to the point where the nose drops sharply. It just kind "mushes" through the air and hangs on the prop slowly climbing until you pull the yoke to your lap (assuming you keep the wings level with quick rudder inputs). Power off stalls are a bit easier get the nose to drop during the stall without excessive inputs assuming you are doing them with full flaps and gear down. I've had instructors who like to maintain level flight and then reduce power while holding altitude and I've also been asked to setup a 500 f/m descent and then pull the nose up as though I was flaring until you induce a stall. In either case, the power off stalls are performed with full flaps and gear down. Try to keep altitude lost to less than 100 ft and heading within 20 degrees.
