      Hello,

I'm not entirely sure, but shouldn't the speed reading on the DME give the speed at which you're moving directly towards or directly away from the DME station? As in, if you're on a heading 90 degrees to the direction towards the DME, the speed it reads should be 0. If that's the case, the reading isn't valid and always gives out your ground speed. It should actually read abs(GS * cos(A)), where A is the relative bearing to the DME. I am really not sure how the DME can even be capable of displaying the absolute ground speed, since it has no way of knowing what the bearing to the station is.

Can anyone confirm if the DME should be reading absolute or relative ground speed?

Thanks for the report. We'll investigate and update the DME speed logic if required.
