Congratulations on the upgrade! When I get into the systems (particularly power and prop control), I will know who to get in touch with for testing! In the meantime, I have a friend who is looking to upgrade from a previous piston twin to Commander 500, so perhaps you will have some advice on Commander airframes for him.

Some results from experimenting at KSMO... The FMC won't allow you to have a single waypoint flight plan. It requires at least two waypoints. You cannot repeat the same waypoint twice in a row, but you can have a waypoint twice in a flight plan as long as there's a different waypoint in between. i.e. KSMO - SMO - KSMO. Starting the flight plan from a non-airport waypoint is permissible. i.e. SMO-KSMO or DARTS-KSMO. The second allowed me to load the RNAV 21 approach from DARTS iaf without duplicating the DARTS waypoint. Probably the better option if you know in advance which approach you want to load. However... The DIRECT page will allow you to select a close by airport even with an empty flight plan. Selecting KSMO from the DIRECT page generates a flight plan ----/KSMO, which then does allow you to load any approach without needing a "junk" starting waypoint. This might actually be my preferred way of doing it now.

@Black-Square - I'm working on a cockpit build of the Baron 58P - any chance I could get your MIP for that? Have a huge pile of switches and encoders here and a 3d printer on the way . . . . .

I see. I'm actually among those (highly!) grateful for your implementation of the door behavior. The forced entry/exit is certainly not desired, to say the least.

@TemplarOfSyrinx said in Parking Brake fails to work: I swear under some circumstances that simulated aviation is far more complicated than the real thing. A sentiment that I share with pilot friends almost weekly! I'm glad it's working for you now. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!

I highly recommend a good read through of the manual. In this case, the compressor is connected to the right engine accessory gearbox, so the right engine must be running.

@NavyNhok No worries!! Just let me know if you have any more questions! It doesn't take long to look some of these up and remove the guesswork

@Gilandred - I joined this forum for 'exactly' this reason. I've spent the last 4 hours adjusting every FS2024 - VR graphics setting, Virtual Desktop Setting, Quest 3 setting that I can possibly find, but nothing has properly resolved the issue for me yet. It's fine on flat screen, but in VR it's just a red wash-out and no amount of brightness adjustment appears to help in settings. Apparently SU4 has played havoc with carious aircraft lighting issues (taxi / landing etc). Have you had any joy since your original post?

@CoolGunS said in Personalizing Starship: Lol this was funny, your transponder codes suggest you are expecting radio failures, terrorists and major emergencies. Nope, no terrorism, that's code 7500. Since afaik there are no permanently assigned transponder codes besides the two "squawk VFRs" and the three 7xxx codes, it seems logical to store those in the presets. I left out 7500 since in a GA turboprop, I figure the risk of a comm failure or emergency is greater than an act of terrorism, and having the two VFR codes is just convenient. What would you store there?

I apologize if I came across as impatient, I'm just excited to fly this plane with as much physical interaction as possible. Thank you again for a great add-on. I also got the Baron last month and put some hours in each variant. Wonderfully done as well. So, after a sleepless night and some consulting with ChatGPT (as I have 0 knowledge or experience with coding), I managed to get it displaying right. For anyone coming across this topic with similar issues, if you're using an ultrawide monitor you will need to play with the crop settings in index.html and the position in config.js until it aligns properly. Cockpit doors. Keep the riff raff away from that beautiful cockpit. It’s a realm for wizards, not passengers with no appreciation for the style, nay the elan that is the Starship

And you know I'm a sucker for my Starship aficionados! She might not be the most popular of airplanes, but she has always been my favorite. I'm so glad that I am able to share her uniqueness with all of you!

Hi, still back to the original question. An option to disable the "VLF Update" message at least would be nice.

Thanks for confirming, Nick. I had a heck of a time figuring out why Starship wouldn’t track the offset in VOR mode until I realized it doesn’t work that way.
