Update: pointed it to the base L1011 Professional folder and it worked.

Thanks so much for your reply and advice. It's good to know about the Active Sky settings. Whilst awaiting a reply I had been reading up on how the wake turbulence effects are overdone in Active Sky, but was not aware of the just wind itself being a problem. I'll try lowering wind too, although I think it might be an idea to try some test landings in cross-winds to help me determine the best factor to use for wind.

As for the flaps it's re-assuring to know that's how they are on the real aircraft - thanks! I'm not sure when I'd want to use them as they cause such a drastic change in the behaviour of the aircraft I find it barely manageable.

When I've mastered this one, I think I'll make a nice video of it for YouTube, using ORBX scenery in p3dv4, where everything has terrific performance.

I am sorry, I forgot to update this discussion as I had a reply from the support: I just had to right-click the range button to increase the range. This is quite unusual when you have a button with 2 arrows, which is why I dodn't find the trick by myself, but it works. In addition, it is not consistent with the standard Garmin GPS 500 that is in the 2D popup window. Anyway, it works, I just regret I can't have the terrain display like on the standard GPS 500.

Regarding the HSI problem you are talking about, I don't have it. I often fly using GPS guidance and the HSI works well, showing deviation from the programmed route. You still have to manually turn the needle to adjust it to the next waypoint bearing, but this is not a bug, it is normal and realistic.

Yes, you're right, I should try to disable the panel state saving. I regret this because the idea is good, I implemented the same feature on the Wilco Airbus Series I developed, it was very convenient even if ti was working with FS2004 at that time.

I agree with you, the oil consumption is far more than the real thing. I used to fly the TB-9 Tampico, the small brother of the TB-10, on which I passed my PPL and I confirm it didn't use so much oil :)

Hi Piet,
A LM texture is a night version of a texture, and is not likely to be the cause of this problem.
More likely its one of two things - old graphics card drivers as these commonly cause textures to become transparent.
The second possible cause is the product security failing. Try reinstalling to see if this fixes it.

@jjdc Thanks for the info, the unavailable WSO position is a bug in FSX ( but not P3D, strangely ) that has been rectified - the GUID was not valid. An update with this fixed an many other goodies is due in a few days.

The crew are made visible via the red Seat Arm button, right hand side panel, at the front. A similar button is in the WSO position also.

It's not much comfort to me that you've sold many Huey's to satisfied customers. This suggests that the fault is mine alone! You should be more interested in my predicament and keeping me on side as a customer. I've been one for many years.

Some confusion here. Milviz are a different company to us. We are acting as their retailer and we don't code the installations. You would not have this issue with Just Flight software unless you have coded your version of P3D's installation in such a way as to prevent a standard installer - but if you can get A2A software to work then ours should.
What we normally do in this sort of case - if you have contacted the developer/publisher directly for help and they have drawn a blank - is advise them we will offer a refund and see what they say.

Just to be clear - you haven't contacted Just Flight support? Just Milviz?

And, thanks to your last post Ray, I realised that the Jetstream 31 (one of my top 10 favourite planes) was also missing from my virtual skies, so I'm now adding some of the rather nice PAD J31s too!
