That's correct. That section of the manual is always chronically neglected by me for some reason... I've fixed it.

I just think anything dynamic like that would be too resource heavy and not an effective use of code. I do think it would be cool to hear prerecorded aviation SELCAL tones and reports, but they would have to be long enough to play without just repeating. Say one recording, as you dial 8864, plays a couple aircraft reporting positions and confirming SELCALs, but reverts to noise and doesn't play again unless you tune off the frequency several KCs or something.

@jmarkows if you watch the tablet for the engines, you can see the various type of FOD being ingested, dirt, rocks, snow, rain, sand etc. when you fly through clouds at altitude, you’ll see a snowflake so ice is a risk to do damage and you’ll see a snowflake ️ in the FOD area. Wouldn’t it be nice if real planes told you that, but I guess that’s why we have checklists and rules.

While you don't have to feel bad for me, it's actually almost impossible to predict what will make a programmer upset in this respect. There's a good image I've seen to explain this. It says... Programming is chaotic magic. There are no rules. You ask a game dev "Can the player summon a giant demon that bursts from the ground in an explosion of lava?" and they'll say "sure, that's easy!". Then you'll ask "can the player wear a scarf?" and they'll go "oof." I'm always glad that people point out these little things to me, by the way. Never hesitate!

I have checked the settings, the flight model was set to modern and the turbulence to realistic. I have changed the turbulence setting to low and wake turbulence to off and was able to fly a traffic pattern at EDDL without any issues. The flight model is fantastic imho, I dont have that "suspended on rubber bands" feeling certain addon aircraft have, at all. One question though, how do you remove the floppy disc from the drive? It ejects if you click the latch, but is there a click spot to place it back on the shelf?

@jmarkows This is correct. Trip planning is only for estimation of your intended flight, much like in the AUX pages of the GNS or Tools pages of the GTN. The MFD Progress or CDU FMS Data screens have the real-time information you are looking for.

Oh, I missed that there was a second thread about this. If you are willing, please go try the first and very simple change that I recommend in this thread to help me pinpoint the issue. Thank you!

There is typically no such thing as official "new" manuals for aircraft. Sometimes they get amendments, or overriding additions in the form of supplemental type certificates, but no such thing exists for Starship, as far as I'm aware. At the present moment, I believe my manual to be the most accurate collection of Starship avionics information, both new and old.

@Faerblaed said in REALLY CONFUSED!!!!: I think there is difference, like modelling is optimized differently, also some other visual things like the registration numbers are different. I would think also in the background logic you would find some optimization differences. The MSFS2024 has click spots in walkaround mode. I would say you should use the corresponding version of the plane for your sim. Also, both installers available when you buy it. Oh yeah you're right. I was thinking more along the lines of systems or something deeper. I'm still new to MSFS so I forgot about the walkaround stuff

@jmarkows said in ITT increasing with altitude?: I thought ITT went down as you climbed because of the reduction in air density and temperate? ITTs will rise because there is less air for cooling. ITTs are the most important thing in turbines because you'll always hit that limit before you hit most others, especially in a climb.

I'm more concerned that after paying millions for an aircraft, they put the lavatory where you get to poop in public. That's a no from me. Doesn't seem like I can lift the seat or pop it out or otherwise have a look at it though.
