Request - G1000NXI Option For Future Black Square Aircraft In Development
-
Here's my opinion. Offer the Pro version aircraft in a default avionics configuration as a single product. Then, if there is demand for a particular avionics upgrade for particular planes, offer an avionics upgrade as an add-on product.
You could have a G1000 upgrade and A G3X upgrade as two additional products. I would be cool paying for WT avionics integrated in your fine aircraft.

@Buzz I think that would be the best option, make it optional for folks that would like this that wouldn't mind paying for it, just like in real life!
@Kestrel21 The question is, would there be enough demand for Nick to do the extra development?

While I have no current plans to add G1000 support to my aircraft, the most likely candidates would be the TBM and the King Air. I will say that I have a future aircraft planned to include glass panel avionics, but I was leaning towards the WT G3X + GNS 750 combo that I have in the velocity, as this more closely resembles the upgrades done to this particular aircraft in the real world.
Since I love seeking the advice of my users, what do you all think of the WT G3X + GNS 750 vs. WT G1000 for a GA aircraft?
@Black-Square G1000Nxi please. Optional TDS GTN always please.

But please only if there is an STC for it unless it's an airplane natively equipped with the G1000. It's a super rare retrofit option.

note that a Kingair has the Proline 21 or fusion now, not Garmin avionics !
so pls if you want to do a more modern variant a PL21 would be great. -

The Blackhawk conversion that puts 1200 shp engines on the B350 requires the G1000 retrofit for example. I'd love a BS B350 with the G1000 on it.

@Black-Square Hello Nick, a King Air 350 by Black Square with G1000 Nxi would definitely be a day one purchase for me! I’ve already quite extensively modded it in MSFS2020 to make it work with my G1000 cockpit but if I could get it out of the box for 2024 I’d be very happy!

Everything would be dependent on Aircraft. For example, in the Caravan or King Air which are frequently used by commercial operators, a G1000 option would be welcome as many of these airplanes in commercial service are equipped this way, and the G3X is only certified for piston aircraft.
For the TBM850 as well, the G1000 was equipped on later aircraft from the factory, whereas we don't have the option of a G500/G500txi which is the most common retrofit on the pre-G1000 aircraft, so I'd rather see a G1000 as the glass panel option here.
That said, G1000s aren't something you can retrofit on most piston aircraft, so in this case if you wanted to offer a glass panel option the G3X + G750 would be the obvious choice.
