@CoolGunS well yes, I guess, you should use the igniters in accordance with the pilot handbook, this is just a workaround to your controls problem :)

So... I don't have SU15 yet, so what is the general opinion of those that do have it? Your answers could help me sleep more soundly tonight :-)

A bit like Christmas eve actually.

OK! Thanks for the additional information. I dared not click the window in flight, even though I have the overstress option turned off, due to same issue catching me out on on take off in the Caravan many times before.

With that sim option turned off, it will be interesting to experiment with trying to open the window now :) I've owned the Dukes a week but only managed one short flight so far, such is real life. I did at least get an hour on the ground to run through the Turbine's checklists and experience all the click-y goodness in the cockpit. It was a very enjoyable hour even though the chocks never came out! I've barely scratched the surface but both aircraft are phenomenal. Your engagement here is also second to none.

The community seems overjoyed too, so keep up the stellar work and thank you!

Nick, I can only second that what was said. I was so looking forward to the Duke, since I had the privilege of flying in one of the real ones frequently (many years ago). And boy, I was not disappointed. The Dukes (both of them) are most likely the best GA planes available for MSFS, and I really own a lot of GA planes for MSFS, but yours has become my all time favorite, so I find myself in the Duke cockpit practically whenever I startup MSFS. Just viewing the wings with the turbines flex from the inside of the cockpit is just a dream... Brilliant job with a brilliant plane, thanks a million for all your work, keep it up, can't you do a King Air 350i with a glass panel, that really flies like a King? Don't get me wrong, I love your MOD for the default, that was my favorite before the Duke, still would love to fly a 350i with your well known quality.

IMHO point 3 would confuse people who would be posting here and saying they can't remove the chocks and therefore can't move the aircraft at all. Same for the engine covers and pitots. It may sound logical to you, but not to someone learning the A/C. Maybe in a future walkaround app this would make sense.

@themoore117 you can solve this by using external program like AAO, FSUIPC or Spad to calculate and send higher/lower axis values directly. If interested, I can provide details on how to do that with AAO or FSUIPC (full version required most likely).

Excellent! I'm glad there is a built-in setting for it. Thanks for the video. It's always good to know what these things look like on the other side for my users.

When I bought the Arrow in 2021, I received the e-mail with the order details and it included a discount code to buy the Turbo-Arrow which, two months later I bought at a discount of about 60%. I see that this time it is not going to be the case and I have to rethink looking at other products.

    Thanks anyway.

Yes, they often look better on the live screen than on screenshots.
And I'm amazed at what you can pack into 320x240 and it still looks decent :-)

@Randolf Thanks I'll try again. Actually I do have Space bar + 1 or 2 setting mixture/condition to high idle and Shift + 1 or 2 setting them to cutoff. So I should remove any such references in msfs controls. ?

The tricky part is that I had 4 buttons available :
one is used for start up, turning on a few things and cutting off throttle/condition in preparation for hitting the starter. ( condition didn't respond to this)
Another is for shutdown. A third activates the inertial separators and the fourth deactivates inertial separators.

But during actual startup the condition levers need to go to high idle at specific points ( rpm) in the start process. It may be the path of least resistance to just use my keyboard bindings for condition.

@Marcel - I can see why an expert mode would be nice if it included both the “hide engine condition” and “don’t fix engine while airborne” things. But if it is just for disabling the “fix engine” option, we sort of already have that option: it’s called “self control” (hehe). With self control we can just choose to not click that button in the air, and without self-control it would only add a step to turn off expert mode and then click the engine fix button. 😉

@Black-Square said in Outages, procedures, causes:

there is a clickspot at the bottom of the throttle quadrant to hide the throttles, just for this reason.

Ahh - what a nice little detail. Trying to read oil-temp/press, especially for the right engine (which potentially runs hotter from AC) is a bit of a nightmare on the turbine. Maybe I just overlooked it, but searching around the manual i didn't see this QoL feature mentioned.
