    We are aware of some scenarios where changing the simulator time (or using active pause) can cause the timers in the RJ code to go out of sync with the timers in MSFS 2024. We are investigating this, and we aim to have a fix implemented in an upcoming update to the RJ. In the meantime, we would recommend minimising any time changes or active pause usage when using the RJ in MSFS 2024. Mark - Just Flight

    Maybe it's possible to tie the engine sounds to the values the PED uses instead of the engine simulation variables or calculate separate values specifically for the sounds. That way, you can do whatever you want underneath the hood while fixing the engine sounds. The best of both worlds.

    Yes, my experience with both is that they have the same systems depth. The RJ may have EFIS, but don't let that fool you as there's no VNAV, only advisory VNAV (just like the real aircraft). The RJ is much more hands-on than for example the 737NG. Unlike the 146 it has autothrottle, but it won't select a thrust mode automatically like the 737NG would. The procedures are old school just like with the 146 (lenghty procedures with loads of system tests). So it's just a notch above a 146 with an EFIS retrofit. If you want a more hands-on airplane with EFIS that still has a decent autopilot, the RJ is an excellent choice. I prefer the RJ, but that's just my personal taste and not because the product is a better product than the 146.

    If the BRK FANS switch is in the AUTO position, then power will be removed from the brake fans when the nose gear is not down and locked. However, even if the BRK FANS switch is in the ON position, the small, enclosed landing gear bay will slow down brake cooling, as there isn't really anywhere for the hot air to go. Mark - Just Flight

    I'll add my observations as well for 2020. Running a 4080 Super with 9800x 3D, downscaling ALL textures (VC, cabin etc) to 2K, hiding the EFB, and hiding the cabin, as well as lowering the gauge refresh rate nets me about 3-5 FPS in most scenarios. But, compared to the 146, F28, Fenix, PMDG products, and others; I'm running well lower 15-25+ FPS overall (typically 30-45 FPS for the Avro, 70-80+ for others in the same airport/weather/traffic scenarios). The RJ is definitely one of the hardest hitting products in my sim. I think I've exhausted most of the tricks trying to squeeze some more performance out of it, and would love to hear if any further optimizations could be made for it someday. Open to any other ideas anyone may have!

    From what I can see on reference photos, the 146 and RJ should both share the same centre pillar design on the windshield, and that is reflected in our 146 and RJ products. I can see there is a slight taper on both real aircraft, so I've logged that on our internal trackers as something to possibly look into adding in the future. We intentionally added the current type of weather radar to the RJ, as that was the only weather radar we had available to us at the time of release. We do have a feature request logged on our internal tracker to model an additional type of weather radar, but nothing is planned at the moment. Mark - Just Flight

    @Mark said in Where are airline configuration options saved?: The livery_config.ini only supports the default liveries in the RJ at the moment, and I believe any third-party liveries will always load in with all equipment enabled. That right there is why I've been pulling my hair out then. Every single third party livery does indeed load with all equipment enabled by default on every single flight (even if I exit to main menu/close the sim). I'll sit tight for the next RJ update now, thank you.

    If they're sitting slightly above idle, that suggests it may be related to the throttle axis sensitivity curves, or it may be related to which control assignment is being used to control the throttles (see a similar thread here: https://community.justflight.com/topic/9025/rj-and-thrustmaster-airbus-throttle?_=1762424953968) I'd recommend having a quick read through that other thread just to see if changing any control assignments fixes this.
