I found the problem making a night flight ! When lining up i switch on the landing lights on my honeycomb yoke, leaving the taxi light button also on. That never caused a problem... until SU10. Now i have to turn off the taxi light button on my yoke, otherwise the landing lights won't turn on. And without landing lights... no callouts. So, i'm back in the air !

@odoyle7 And see the last paragraph on page 155 of our PDF manual for more information on what the throttle buttons do. They are for disconnecting the TMS / selecting GA mode on the TMS, which is entirely separate to the autopilot GA mode (a confusing setup!).

@alh Great, thanks for your response. This is the process I’ve been using but wasn’t sure if there was a better way. Appreciate the info.

@gilandred The ICE DETECT warning is checking the default MSFS icing system and I think that's probably more aggressive than real-life, i.e. ice accumulates more quickly. We'll look into adding some delay to the custom detection logic but the visible icing will still be controlled by the sim.

@b3lt3r said in Q. effect of bleed air IRL: Checklist says, and I mostly remember before start to shut packs and APU air. When I don't shut them off (because I'm too clever to need a checklist) I have never seen any consequences. In actual operations, is there any material impact if left on? The engines are started by electric motors. When the engines are being started, the engine bleed air is off so as not to compromise the start up procedure. It is recommended to turn off the bleed air from the APU so as to ensure that the APU can supply sufficient electrical power to the starter motors without any other power offtakes. Once the engines are started, the engine bleed air is enabled and the APU can be shut down.

@taipan303 i think youve just fixed my problem ive been using it wrong XD. Anyone else doing the same of me it saves the state from the last part of your flight not like a panel state from startup so if you want cold and dark flight start untiock state saving.

I just discovered that increasing the gauge refresh rate to maximum greatly improves the ratio of good screen to bad screen. Now it only flickers to the bad screen in my image about every 6 or 7 seconds, and then just briefly.
