Resolved. I traced it town to an old FM mod for a different aircraft that was seemingly interfering. Thanks!

The Turbo Arrow III/IV features a 'clean' cockpit by default and therefore never included an optional 'clean' texture set. The 'Clean' textures were only ever available in the Arrow III and Warrior II, and they are now located on the respective support pages: Arrow III: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000146267-pa-28r-arrow-iii-msfs-alternative-clean-cockpit-textures Warrior II: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/folders/17000139619 However, we have just noticed that there is an item on the Turbo Arrow III/IV's changelog that was incorrect, referencing the alternative 'Clean' texture set, and we have now removed this. Apologies for the confusion. Mark - Just Flight

Oh yes, this would be awesome. I'm considering buying the Arrow family, having the KLN 90B would definitely tip me over

Unfortunately, it's possible to access the aircraft.cfgs in product purchased from the in-game marketplace version. It may be worth trying the AIRPORT VEHICLE DENSITY setting if you haven't already, but I suspect the settings in the aircraft.cfg may overrule that setting for the player aircraft. Mark - Just Flight

Thanks for your reply. I just bought Active Sky today which I had used in FSX and P3D, and was looking for an excuse to buy for MSFS. Using it today so far, suggests turbulence/wind unpredictability is significantly toned down from MSFS's own weather with realistic turbulance. I had Active Sky set to realistic. The PA28 Turbo dealt with what turbulance there was with Active Sky the same as the other small aircraft I tried it with.

I accomplished this by purchasing the FIPs MP, RPM and engine gauges from FSX Times. Using SPAD.neXt (a FIPS subscription is required), I detached the gauges to a separate screen so that I can see the gauges. I bought this screen from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C746JHJJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

@Mark Thanks for your reply. From that I gleaned that the AP disconnect is not a feature of the aircraft so perhaps something might be wrong on my end. I did a long testflight during which I unplugged my yoke and throttle quadrant and that seemed to cure the AP disconnect. After reconnecting the AP disconnected again after a while. I checked the yoke sensivity setting in MSFS and noticed there was a "reactivity" setting I have never touched before. It showed 100 so I changed that to 98, on a hunch that this might filter out these spikes. I did a long test flight with this setting and did not have a AP disconnect. The funny thing is, when I set it back to 100 I also did not have these AP disconnects anymore. When I later checked for spikes using VKB Joytester I noticed that the yoke was indeed sending spikes once in a while, very short bursts but off the scale. These did not lead to AP disconnects since I already touched the reactivity setting in MSFS. Even after a very, very long flight the AP disconnect did not return except once when I changed GPS instruments on the tablet during a flight. Perhaps the original value of the reactivity setting was not set properly in MSFS internally so setting it to 98 and then back to 100 reset something in MSFS. Sorry for the long reply but hopefully someone else with a similar issue might benefit from this.
