Updated with 0.4 today and the GNS530 and 430 would not power up with the battery switch. Would not power on with PWR switch on GNS530. Uninstalled and reinstalled update 0.3 MSFS and both GNS530 and 430 powered up with BAT switch.

Thought I would mention it running the ill fated 1.18.14.0 MSFS update.

    Thanks ...Mike

The barometric pressure setting on the altimeters should automatically switch between inHg and mB based on the 'units of measurement' that you've selected in the MSFS General > Misc settings.

@SuperKaro2014 as I understand it the 650 is the small form factor version of the 750 https://sarasotaavionics.com/garmin-gtn-series-650-and-750

Just to update, the support guys got me up and running again. Managed to convince state saving to stop saving the state and they showed me how to add the payload options to the in-flight toolbar at the top so I could adjust levels from there instead of when selecting aircraft. Hopefully this bug gets fixed by assobo soon enough but for now we are ok at least. Thanks JF

Which is why pretty much every Turbo Arrow has had an aftermarket variable wasteagte fitted which is miles better on the engine and even increases the critical altitude 😎

    Thanks for your help.
I defined my own set of keys in a dedicated KB profile, but even when I revert back to the DEFAULT KB profile the F keys you are referring to do not work as expected, only F5 and F8 work as intended (Full down/Up) but the One notch keys do nothing.
It is strange though that I don't see issue with other aircraft, I tried the
C152, the Bonanza and the Piper Cub (the Cub having a 'real' handle in stead of electrical activation like the C172 and the Bonanza), all these are working fine.
I ended up now assigning two PB's on my warthog throttle unit, one for flaps down and one for Up, this seems to work OK.
Still don't understand why the KB keys are not working correctly though.

I had reported this earlier as a bug.

I think they put it on the changelog without changing the behaviour/bug.

Hopefully it will be fixed some day.

I just installed and tried a flight with v3.0 using the PMS50 GTN750 - for a short flight from EGHP RWY 26 to EGKA RWY20.

Started off OK following the plan on the first leg, but then on reaching the next intermediate waypoint it turned off the plan northwards (about 25 degrees left) off course and kept going on that track. When I tried going to heading mode and turning it back towards the flight plan, it went haywire, diving steeply and I almost lost control.

After that it would not engage AP without swinging wildly off course, so I brought it in manually all the way from there.

This is behaviour I never saw with the previous update. Maybe not everyone will experience this but this is a big step down from the previous version, which has been rock solid for me. Perhaps I will try it with the default GNS530.

    Any help appreciated..

    Ray

@Biokerozen ah, okay, thanks. I wasn't sure if there was a custom menu for the Arrow he referenced. I use the fuel menu every flight to load the correct weight for the pilot and the baggage, and check and adjust the fuel state as needed.

@vcapra1 said in Turbo III bug:

most likely it's trying to prevent you from using vertical autopilot because the virtual plane does not have that function.
As far as the EGT needle, do you see it move at all? It doesn't move initially but continue leaning until it starts increasing and reaches its max, and then you can adjust based on that peak. As long as you stay on the rich side

Thanks for The feedback. That makes perfect sence for fse doing that. I rechecked the aircraft i rented and it was equipped with AP, but like you say in the real one there is no alt hold. No big deal. And I'll mess around some more with the mixture.

    Thanks
    Dave.

No problem here, everything is off on a parking spot start and even after selecting cold & dark on the efb.

If you have state saving on, then the knobs will reflect your last flight. So if you didn't turn them off then, they won't be off next flight.

I will note however, my com1 and 2 volumes (kx radios, I didn't check the garmins) are not retaining the state saving for me.

@Martyn I am under the PerformacePlus beta if that matters.

MSFS could benefit from a couple more categories indeed. I would love to see “ultralights” separated for instance.

    Valve or transistor GPS?

If you mean tube amp or transistor amp, I'd say tube amp, although hi-end transistor can be pretty close sometimes.
