Question about Flap selection using keyboard
-
Hello,
I'm flying the Turbo Arrow with great pleasure, such a nicely modeled aircraft.
I used to fly a Fuji FA-200 in real life a long time ago, in ancient times...I would like to select the flaps in the Turbo Arrow using keyboard shortcuts but it want let me do that. When I tap the keys the flap handle just moves somewhat erratically and then reverts back to the orginal position. Only holding the key down will select the flap but then they go just full down or up.
is there anything I'm doing wrong here, am I overlooking something or it this just not OK.
I cross checked this with some other aircraft but all worked fine, even aircraft that use a handle like the Arrow. It seems to be typically for the Arrow.Anybody have some advise?

[F7] will extend the flaps 1 notch at a time. [F6] will retract them 1 notch at a time. [F8] will extend them to FULL. [F5] will retract them to UP... It sounds like you have a joystick switch or lever assigned to the flaps that is overriding the keyboard input.

Thanks for your help.
I defined my own set of keys in a dedicated KB profile, but even when I revert back to the DEFAULT KB profile the F keys you are referring to do not work as expected, only F5 and F8 work as intended (Full down/Up) but the One notch keys do nothing.
It is strange though that I don't see issue with other aircraft, I tried the
C152, the Bonanza and the Piper Cub (the Cub having a 'real' handle in stead of electrical activation like the C172 and the Bonanza), all these are working fine.
I ended up now assigning two PB's on my warthog throttle unit, one for flaps down and one for Up, this seems to work OK.
Still don't understand why the KB keys are not working correctly though.
