@Martyn Thanks, I appreciate the effort, sorry to hear the sim is giving you a hard time. Is it advised to file a bug report at ZenDesk, concerning the ADF volume?

Yes, I found that, and I also re-read the manual. It does say it will connect to the KX 170B or to the 530 or 750 if installed. The 2nd VOR is a KX 175B, so by inference it won't connect. But thank you for responding. I guess I either need to choose the DI or fiddle a bit more with the VORs if I always want the HSI to show course. There is a toggle switch beside VOR2 that says NAV/GPS, maybe I'll tinker with that and see if it works, with the AP in heading mode.

@Martyn said in Logitech Switch panel with the Arrow: The SET commands should be supported following our update but we'll get the ON/OFF commands added. Hello Martyn, Any news on this support? I just bought a switch panel and it works fine with any default Asobo aircraft but with the Arrow, it's completely messed up. Turning on one switch turns off another one, so unusable for me. Cheers, Sylvain

@RetiredMan93231 said in GNS530, COM1 inner knob unresponsive?: Sometimes I find that I have to zoom in, pan or even move the viewpoint to the right a little to get the knob turning cursor to appear when the mouse pointer is hovered over a knob... Since I also had this issue, this thread might be interesting for you: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/knobs-switches-not-clickable-in-bottom-right-corner-multi-monitor-setup/407588

@charlie130 said in Arrow GTN 750: A2A standards While I believe that the Arrow is still quite some way from achieving many "A2A standards", it does meet them when it comes to the GTN. A2A aircraft offer exactly the same functionality as the Arrow: if you own a 3rd-party GTN750 add-on, you can select it as an alternative to the default radio stack. My personal recommendation: the Arrow is as far as I'm aware the best plane to spend your time with while you're waiting for the Comanche to be released.

@BernieV If you want to see how it feels when density altitude equals runway length, try this exercise; Airport 2b2 (Plum Island, Mass.) Set weather to clear sky, temp 30C, 0 wind. Set aircraft weight to 2450 lbs. Line up just short of the runway 28 markings (disregard the big yellow X, the runway is not closed, its a MSFS database error). Runway length is 2205 ft. Density altitude is 2270 ft. From the takeoff performance chart on page 4 of the ODM; Select 25 degrees of flaps. Lift off at 56 knots and accelerate to 59 knots. Gear up as soon as possible for this one

@iltarix said in Please put the Arrow III on in-game marketplace.: So now I need JF updater running You don't. You'll get an email notification that there's an update, you go to the website, download and double click the installer and it's done. Easy as that. I don't like the software approach of orbx and co either, but for the JF Arrow, the process is pretty straight forward. Also you have the benefit that most files can be edited, making modding easy and saved a lot of headache for issues that were fixed by the community in mods or temporary changes before they got integrated in an addon. In case of the marketplace, all the content is encrypted. While that might be ok for scenery, I really appreciate being able to mod my aircraft addons. It's up to everyone to decide, just highlighting the process in this case so you can base your decision upon facts rather than assumptions.

@C525B said in POH Power Setting Table Errors: Manifold Pressure greater than standard ISA Its more accurate to say you can't achieve some of the MP/RPM combinations listed in the table on a standard day. However, on a colder than standard day, you can. I live in New Hampshire in the US and we get a very wide range of weather. In the winter, I fly in weather as cold as -15F (-23.3C) or as hot as 95F (35C) in the summer. In the winter I can generate 75% power at higher altitudes and as such achieve higher TAS in colder weather. That's the purpose of the foot note to correct the MP required based on temperature.

@Martyn I've made a video that shows what "VR Ready" actually means which you can find here. So my question is this: After having viewed my video, does this aircraft (the Just Flight PA-28R Arrow III) conform to the definition of VR shown in that video? And what about the newly released Turbo Arrow, does that also conform to that definition? Thanks in advance, and I apologize for reviving an oldish thread, but it's still relevant to would be Arrow III owners, and is even more relevant given the recent release of the Turbo Arrow. @RetiredMan93231 Thanks again for your help. I'm OK with editing files etc but I haven't delved into MSFS file structure and was unsure about each aircraft having its own CFG file. I thought there may have been a generic file of that type. All is OK. I have modified the file of the Arrow III and will see how it goes. My next challenge is why has the ILS at EGMC gone out by a couple of degrees. Perhaps that is a result of the latest update. Take care. Trevor

Thank you to those who suggested the addition of 170lb to the right side. It works great. However (at least for me), changes made in "Aircraft Selector" or via the menu option at top of screen during a flight are not saved after the close of the MSFS session. Therefore the change must be repeated for each session. Fortunately, a suggested method for making a change (as posted elsewhere by others) provides a "semi-permanent" version that keeps it in effect at least until a subsequent version of the aircraft is released. This involves changing a value in a single line in the aircraft's "flight_model.cfg" file. To make that change for the JF Arrow III: Navigate to "...\Community\justflight-aircraft-pa28-arrow-iii\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_PA28_Arrow\flight_model.cfg" Open the "flight_model.cfg" file with a text editor Near the top, look for a line with "station_load.1..." in it In that line, change only the "=0" to "=170", and save the file This places a load of 170lbs into the right side This one time change will be in effect whenever this particular aircraft is flown, no need to use the Sim's menus to make a change If the new JF Arrow Turbos also drift, their "flight_model.cfg" can probably be changed in same manner If this file gets corrupted, the Arrow can be easily re-installed, or a backup of the original file can be used to restore Would be a nice touch if JF added a balanced initial weight option via the EFB This change provided an important improvement for me. I use a joystick and throttle (Saitek X52), and I want to use the Arrow as a trainer in order to learn more about the Sim and aircraft before dealing with winds, engine pull, weight distribution, etc. Without the fix, the removal of my hand from the stick to make changes via a mouse (or KB) causes an immediate drift to the left, a distraction from the learning process. Of course not an issue for yoke owners who can keep the other hand on the yoke, or have/use rudder pedals. After making the "flight_model.cfg" change, my enjoyment of flying the JF Arrow III went from "very high" to "Wow!". Now, realism can be phased in as desired.

@BufordTX said in Feature request: alternative propeller animations (for realism and VR): You should upload this Tbh, I think we should keep asking JF (and all other publishers, including Asobo) to include realistic prop animations with their models; at least as files that the user can rename or copy to activate. Remember when we nagged game devs about lens flares breaking immersion until they caved ? Now the "lens flare on/off" option is standard. Cinematic prop animations are so 2006.
