I am having difficulties with taking off and landing.

I get up to 60-70 for my speed, pull back on the joystick, and I have to pull ALL the way back for 5-7 seconds before the AC slowly takes off.

Landing is the opposite, I am still around 60-70 for my speed, but now I am pushing the joystick ALL the way forward and the AC inches it way to the ground. Using flaps does not help (not using them has no effect)

I am sure more information is needed, if so, please ask :)

Have you adjusted your trim for take-off or just setting off with the default setting?

I have done both, elevator trim has been set to zero (using the trim wheel), no difference, and tried it multiple times with the default.

@davidcrum ok I'm using the tca sidestick and have the same problem than yours. Impossible to flare before landing and it's difficult to make stall

@panghelo That describes my (and yours) problem. Taking off is also difficult, but somewhat manageable.

    Hi,

I too use the Logitech Extreme Pro.

I can flare- but I find the control inputs way over sensitive for good approaches and landings - and there’s a consistent left rolling tendency on climb out. I’m familiar with P-Factor, torque etc. , but there seems to be more than that.

What control sensitivity settings are you using on the Logitech?

    Thanks!

@davidcrum elevator trim should be set nose - up a bit (the amount dependant on payload). Also, make sure your control curves and sensitivities are set as noted several times already in the forum - linear!

Found a "fix". Prior to taking off I set my elevator trim to around 4.2

Once that is done my take offs are MUCH better. For landings, I have the trim set to a couple of buttons on my controller, and my landings have gotten better, a LOT smoother.

Real life Arrows have relatively high pitch control forces. You learn early on to use trim to control all but very minor pitch changes unless of course you're trying to make up for missing a session at the gym. I tend to use a little more up trim on final approach then required for the airspeed I'm trying to maintain. This requires a a little forward pressure on the yoke. When it's time to flare for landing, I just relax the forward pressure and pitch to maintain the right sight picture between the nose and the end of the runway. That usually results in a very smooth Landing. Whether or not you agree with this approach, the JF Arrow behaves very close to the real deal in the situation.
