@Black-SquareI think the sizing is optimal, and we shouldn't expect Asobo to provide options for that anytime soon. You might want to consider using the passengers as they are. The only issue with Mr BlueBear’s mod is that we have to use the default EFB to add passengers first, and then manually correct the weight and balance in your EFB. And adding passengers option is my sincere request to you.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about 70% sizing. In MSFS 2020, 98% size (~1" of height for the average height) was enough to avoid collisions with everything.

However, it is unacceptable that there are no passengers in the aircraft, and no co-pilot either. Their absence is very noticeable, and from a visual standpoint it is extremely important that passengers are visible.

I will not ignore your opinions, and I am always happy to receive them. That's the only way I know what the community is interested in! However, please consider the competing interests here. I have routinely also received messages thanking me profusely for not including the hideous zombies with their limbs through the panel in my aircraft. This is why I have the toggleable option in MSFS 2020, because I want everyone to be happy. Since Asobo has removed our ability to programmatically control the model visibility, I am faced with two very opinionated groups of users, with currently mutually exclusive tastes. I want to make everyone happy, but this is a major challenge to that philosophy.

I think a 'visible passengers ON/OFF' toggle would be the perfect solution to make everyone happy.

@SebAvi Just to be clear, I do too, but this is exactly the functionality that was removed in MSFS 2024.

I just checked our developer support forums, and this has been consistently requested since release, and the last action date was in January of this year, when Asobo still didn't "have any news yet". I will rally the troops at Just Flight to see if we can add some addition weight to those requests. I try to make everyone happy whenever I can, so this would be a big win if we could get them to finally address this.

@Black-Square as discussed in the thread listed below it seems that somehow it's possible to show the old avatars (MSFS2020) instead, maybe it could be an alternative solution till Asobo provides a definitive solution to the MSFS2024 avatar size issue.

Is this in the EFB? I'm using 2020 and would love to see visible passengers - unless they end up looking like the mentally disturbed things I've seen in planes by other devs.

@Black-Square I understand the issue you described regarding passengers to some extent, but at the same time, I find it difficult to fully agree with it. There are users who have created add-ons that allow passengers to be added to your aircraft, and these seem to work perfectly—without any scaling or clipping issues. The passengers do not intersect with the seats or any other parts of the cabin.
For this reason, your explanation feels somewhat unclear to me. Of course, I am not a developer, but it does seem a bit contradictory that if a third-party user can create an add-on that successfully enables passengers, then why wouldn’t it be possible for the aircraft developer to implement this directly?

That said, I’m not trying to argue. I have great respect for your work and truly admire it. I specifically purchase professional-quality aircraft for MSFS 2024, and your products are among them. In fact, I have bought all of your professional releases so far. However, for me, the ability to adjust the number, appearance, and overall presence of passengers is very important.

Seems like the issue is solved if someone else has gone and added them.

@jmarkows There have been no technical changes, unfortunately. We are still discussing it on the developer forums.

@batkizoltan Similarly, I hope you won't take this message the wrong way, because I'm not trying to argue with a fan. I just don't want anyone to think that I'm being anything less than forthcoming.

When you look at the screenshots for all of those passenger mods on FlightSim.to, you will notice that they do not include screenshots of the copilot's extremities. The passengers are a little more manageable in my aircraft, but the copilot's legs and knees tend to be the major problem. However, what appears in these mods would be acceptable to me, so long as my users who were offended by the characters had the option to disable them. That's really what I'm waiting for here. Whenever I have been faced with a binary decision for a contentious feature, I always err on the side of its absence, rather than inclusion. That's just a personal design philosophy. In this case, I think it's easier to pine for friendly passengers, than to be repulsed by their mandatory inclusion.

@Black-Square apologies, I meant for the people who care about having passengers.

I understand that Asobo hasn't fixed developer control and that you won't implement anything until you're satisfied with the result.

@jmarkows Ah, sorry about that misunderstanding. You've been a frequent flyer here for long enough that hopefully you know that I'm never frustrated with anyone, though. Or, at least it's very rare 🙂
