We had this issue early on with the 146.

    CPU use was spiking.
... ( As it is here. You can almost predict it... levelling off after climb, turning via Lnav control... very noticeable.)

It was sorted after a while... maybe 2 patches (?)... so hopefully this will be too.

Tldr; go back and see what caused this with the 146 😁

Make sure in the EFB you check the "lock throttles " when A/T is ON.

Then I just place them in idle position so when I discon the AP I can just increase them to match them to current power.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll supply answers to each of your points below:

This is correct logic. The engines are started electrically in the 146/RJ and don't require bleed air from the PACKS. However, there are steps in the checklists to switch off APU AIR and the PACKS during engine start to both reduce electrical load on the system and to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the cabin.

This logic varies depending on the state you load the aircraft in. If you load the aircraft Cold and Dark, you must enter the aircraft's position into the FMS in order for the IRSs to align. If you load the aircraft in a 'Turnaround' or 'Ready for Takeoff' state, the IRSs will already be aligned and a position does not have to be entered into the FMS.

3/4. Thank you for the feedback. We will log this on our internal trackers for the development team to investigate.

There are no plans at the moment to integrate a CPDLC via Hoppie, but I have added this to our internal feature requests as something to consider for a future update.

Found this Stream Deck profile already !

    Kudos to the creator.

Thanks for reporting this. I suspect this will just be a quirk of the MSFS lighting engine, but we have logged this for our development team to look into further.

Roger! Will do, thank you! Probably just a glitch that happened on my end.

@Insomnia Thank you for confirming this. We have confirmed that this is the cause of the conflict on our side too and we are investigating this further.

I believe switching on either CONT IGN switch will also illuminate the ENG ANT-ICE caption on the CSP.

Resetting the aircraft position in the FMS isn't currently supported in the sim. It's something we would like to implement in the future, but at the moment the IRS just basis it's calculations on the initial position entered at the start of the first flight.

Correct. The OAT gauge has a factor applied to it, but it's still not a true TAT nor SAT. It's as basic as it gets!

I imagine one of Nick's worst enemies is potential 'feature creep' - deciding what to implement and what to leave on the wishlist. Especially when us users start making demands for every aircraft...

Whether they come or not, I also love all these little features :)

I still wonder about the typical operation for heating the Duke. Perhaps different pilots have different preferences.
Once airborne, I had thought it preferable to use heat from the engines instead of the combustion heater, but seems this may not be the case. In the sim (especially) it's hard to regulate the heat with the pressurisation hot air controls. I've pulled the air handles out partway before to alleviate load on the combustion heater, then realised my cabin was 30°C a short time later... toasty!

Seems that relying on the combustion heater alone with a boost from the pressurisation hot air (where needed) is the way to go. This is more or less indicated in the manual's guidance, typically at -12°C OAT and below, yet it also says the combustion heater is a notoriously dangerous piece of equipment! So roll the dice and take your chances...

Thanks everyone! I think I found the problem. I had AP2 engaged instead of AP1.

I have turned Turbulence settings off in Active SKy, not because of the Bae 146 or Avro RJ, but because the iFly 737 Max has issues with Active Sky turbulence.

I guess some addon Aircraft has problems with it.

The following FAQ may be useful if you get stuck: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000142822-how-long-does-it-take-for-the-irs-to-align-is-there-a-fast-align-option-

That also covers the IRS quick align 'hack' if you want to get pushed back as soon as possible.

Thanks for the feedback. There are no plans at the moment to add 146/RJ models to FS Traffic, just due to the limited number of operators that are flying the aircraft in 2024. We will log that on our internal feature request tracker though for our FS Traffic development team to consider for a future update.

    Yes! That was the solution!

I have the TCA Airbus Thrustmaster. The starter switches were still mapped in the control setting that I was using for the Avro RJ. Of course I don't need them in this aircraft. I would never have guessed that this was the cause!

Any route inputted into the RTE page can be saved locally on your PC by selecting the SAVE FPL option on the INIT/REF INDEX page. Once saved, that flight plan can be recalled on future flights either by using the CO ROUTE field via the FLIGHT PLANS option on the INIT/REF INDEX page.

I just had this happen for unknown reason. Flows were same as last 10 flights. ADC tests didn't help.

With regards to some systems (like the TRP and YD) not being functional following a change of aircraft state on the EFB, this possibly could be misunderstood for the FGC test. If the aircraft's power supply is changed when switching states (such as Cold and Dark > Turnaround) an FGC Test will be triggered once the power is restored. Off the top of my head, the FGC Test takes 45 seconds to complete after power has been applied to the aircraft and during that time, a few systems such as the TRP and YD will not be functional. Once the FGC Test is complete, an FGC PASS message will appear at the top right corner of the PFD.

However, we have also found a situation where the FGC Test logic can get confused if a state change is triggered prior to the test being completed. We will be implementing some changes in the next update to the RJ Professional to try and mitigate this.
