There have been various improvements to this over the course of FS Traffic's updates; however, it's sadly not something that can be removed entirely without affecting the traffic generation at the destination airport. The small freeze is caused when the FS Traffic module detects that the player is within a certain radius of the destination airport, and starts to read the schedule files that are stored locally on your PC. Once it reads those schedule files, it'll start to generate the relevant traffic. The more schedules that exist at the destination airport, the longer it'll take for the FS Traffic module to read those; therefore, the size of the freeze is directly related to how busy the destination airport is. For example, if you approach a small to medium-sized airport like Manchester (EGCC), you may only notice a small stutter, but if you approach Chicago O'Hare (KORD) at rush hour, you will get a larger stutter. Thanks for the feedback. This is something we have on our internal feature request tracker as something we'd like to improve in the future. Mark - Just Flight

This is my single greatest pain point with MSFS 2024. For the Baron and Bonanza, I went from having to create, maintain, and export 10 models for the user aircraft in MSFS 2020 to 90 models for MSFS 2024. Unfortunately, from a user perspective, even individual parts of the aircraft (like the landing gear, as you note) are automatically culled, regardless of the LOD model. Even objects in the cockpit will be removed if you zoom out too far, like while using a VR headset. I imagine these changes were designed to promote better performance on console. I'm very sorry that your ability to create videos with my aircraft has been diminished. I think that it's a major regression myself too. Now, I haven't tried this... and I suspect it will still cull the small objects... but it's worth a shot. If you enable developer mode and navigate to the Options -> Debug Model LOD menu, you will find options like, "freeze LOD selection" that could give you more crisp models for your videos. Let me know how that works for you. Do you have any videos you might want to share? I've always been into film, so flight simulation videos combine two of my favorite hobbies

Thanks again for your time. When I get back into flight sim myself I’ll definitely be picking up one of your planes! Cheers

my link doesn't load for me, either. this one works... https://docs.flightsimulator.com/msfs2024/html/6_Programming_APIs/SimVars/Aircraft_SimVars/Aircraft_RadioNavigation_Variables.htm?rhpgno=3#TRANSPONDER_STATE Looks like MS just has transponder state defined twice, once as a simvar in general and again for its use in a flight definitions file. They both say the same thing. I set all of mine to 4 in the .FLT files so that my external hardware agrees with what's in the sim.

Thanks again! Couldn't get that one to work, oddly, but I figured out a workaround with some simconnect variables so all working now

@dosendo said in Traffic settings: I only would like to know that about how those settings must be set that they are correct to use FS Traffic. Just Flight Support can help you with that. The forum is really only meant for users to chat about products.

Every aircraft has its own file where it was installed to, so it will only effect that one. Make a copy first though. But have you thought to just make a seperate controller curve in the msfs native controllers GUI for that aircraft? There are plenty of YouTube videos that can take you through that process, it's easy and you would have far more control over the outcome. I have several aircraft with custom curves for rudder or elevators, especially some choppers and their pesky torque pedals. Here is one for eg, right at the end he talks about saving the profile for the C172. You'll figure it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxi73gZhXDE

Cockpit doors. Keep the riff raff away from that beautiful cockpit. It’s a realm for wizards, not passengers with no appreciation for the style, nay the elan that is the Starship

This should fix the problem that MS just won't do. After doing this I've never had a problem with long path names. https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/The-Windows-10-default-path-length-limitation-MAX-PATH-is-256-characters.html

@MatzeH84 said in TIT gauge?: One this that is puzzling me, maybe you could clarify how it's coded: Let's say I lean ROP. Max EGT is found. Then in the first coloumn the deviation from the max EGT should be shown, correct? As you will be on the lean side, you would have to enrichen to get a zero reading, and from then on to let's say 50° ROP. Does the sign change from negative to positive at some point? Thanks for your other comments and the videos (you made it look way too easy to find those!), but really quickly on this one: I know the slight sign weirdness you're talking about. I believe that results from MSFS's strange mixture behavior (fuel flow increasing as you reduce the mixture when running too rich), but I should be able to eliminate it in my future aircraft with the new fuel flow behavior available in a late sim update for MSFS 2020. I've just implemented this for the first time in my Commander 114, and then if it works well there (looks good so far, and I don't really expect any issues), I will port this back to all my other aircraft.

Thanks for sharing these kinds of moments unsolicited. They really are the reason I work so hard on these aircraft. I've always been a fan of "simulations" of all types, even theatrical performances! I think it's remarkable when the manmade can simulate the emotions of mother nature and our own senses. Thanks again

I understand the massive amount of work you put in and yes it would be a smaller Duke but not massively different in size. Looking forward to your upcoming releases as well.

And you know I'm a sucker for my Starship aficionados! She might not be the most popular of airplanes, but she has always been my favorite. I'm so glad that I am able to share her uniqueness with all of you!
