As I just said in a related topic about throttle control: "I do absolutely nothing special regarding the throttle control in this aircraft compared to any default aircraft." Unfortunately, I think that means the issue is on your end. I might suggest creating a ticket with Just Flight Support, as they have a lot of experience troubleshooting every type of hardware imaginable. If you don't get anywhere with that, please let me know!

Yeah, not a bad idea! I haven't really strayed into that level of "aircraft ownership" before, and I think the inconsistencies of Asobo's state saving might frustrate some people, but I will think if there is a clever way to implement this. Thanks for the suggestion!

@EJNorth Thanks for the video, and thanks for stopping it before any terrible fate met those giraffes Well, as you might have noticed in your video, the airplane seems to bounce off invisible landing gear, and we see a commensurate dust cloud behind where the gear would be. This is obviously not what you should be seeing, and it's also something that I test with the "colliders" have to place for the aircraft's fuselage to collide with the ground. This leads me to believe that something very strange is happening on your system where the gear are somehow deployed, but not visually deployed. I don't know where to begin on recommending troubleshooting, other than usual "empty your community folder", if it's even something that you want to get to the bottom of.

@aeronautorbust said in No option for G430 to be the primary GPS for most Blacksquare aircraft in the avionics selection.: Is there a reason why the G430 STILL isn't an option to be used as the primary GPS? Indeed, there is! As you might have noticed, both the TDS and PMS50 GTN 650's can also operate as the primary source of navigation when no primary GPS is selected. I asked Working Title to provide the same functionality a long time ago, and I was politely told that this would be too difficult. I then proceeded to modify their code to create my own solution for this, and I can confirm that it was very dirty, difficult, and inconsistent. Just as recently as Flight Sim Expo this year (July), I spoke with a WT representative about this again, and referred to it as my most wanted feature. Perhaps the day will still come for this functionality, but in the meantime, we will both be patiently waiting.

The reverse detents act as buttons so there is not a lot of flexibility in how to map them. You CAN set the main throttle levers to do reverse as well with negative values, but that cuts into your throttle range. Here's what I did to get reverse: [image: e5472b24-f255-4a7f-b714-2cd978cabba4.png]

@rinkerbuck said in Taking off without updating VLF and without updating position data doesn't really seem to matter?: ... Even without setting VORs to autotune, there still seems to be basically no appreciable loss of navigational accuracy. This is in 2024 SU3. There are more DME receivers than just the two that can be tuned manual or automatic. You check what the others are receiving on the MFD and if it is used to calculate your position. I have been thinking about taking the Starship flying in some remote area without radio beacons in range to play with the navigation. Haven't gotten around to it yet.

I just wanted to repost in here, thanks Dev for the quick response. The issue with the flashing lights in VR at night is with using TAA. I switched to DLSS and the bad flashing lights and the weird green graphical glitching is gone.

@baronizy Just a quick heads-up — there’s a G1000 retrofit solution currently available that might be of interest. As far as I know, it’s the only option at the moment: Black Square King Air 350i Analog Overhaul – G1000 NXi Mod Hope this helps!

Hi Nick, thanks for your quick response. I neither can reproduce the problem again. Everything seems to work fine now. Nevertheless I'm absolutely sure I have flown with: -the engine running -fuel selector in off position -fuel flow and pressure reading zero -fuel warning light on -condition lever full forward -unlimited fuel disabled The problem initially occurred probably due to a wrong binding of the condition lever. So apparently it is possible to fly with the fuel selector shutoff, but when following the normal procedures there is no problem. Thanks for the help

That's a great looking simulator you have in your profile picture! Is that a real control column? As someone else already pointed out, by B58 will never be a factory G58, but since it looks like your simulator is a pre-1984 Baron, then you probably won't mind a retrofit solution. Here is an example of how a home cockpit builder retrofitted a G1000 into my King Air for his purposes. I think this could provide exactly the experience that you're looking for by blending my aircraft with your home cockpit.

Oh, trust me, I know... We've been asking Asobo to fix this on the developer forums for quite some time now. It's one of the many reasons that I was hesitant to bring my aircraft over to MSFS 2024 for as long as I was, because there are so many issues that get in the way of enjoyable flying in all conditions, even if the graphics are generally improved over MSFS 2020.

@Black-Square Understood, thank you for confirming. Given Asobos glacial development pace I was just trying to look for workarounds until SU4 is finally released. Amazing work!

@jmarkows said in Turbocharger ops below critical alt: I thought it's the last column on the 800, but I need to study the manual again because it's been a bit. You are right, it is the last column, just found this part in the manual - Quote: "The seventh column will display the oil temperature on a percent scale only when a turbocharger is not installed, otherwise, TIT will be displayed with the column, and oil temperature will be displayed as the single segment."
