For the most part, the RJ should use standard control assignments for any controls that are common between aircraft (Parking brake, flaps, lights, etc.). We do, however, use some non-standard control assignments for controls that are specific to the RJ. Those are listed at the very end of the RJ Operations Manual: https://support.justflight.com/en/support/solutions/articles/17000142841-rj-professional-msfs-manuals Mark - Just Flight

Unfortunately, double sided dynamic signs are not possible in MSFS, so I've had to do the best with what is possible within the simulator. I have tailored my new sign models to minimize thickness and any z-fighting when compared to the default models, however.

The TTN section was updated in the latest version of the manual. Could you kindly double-check that you've downloaded the latest version from here: https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000142841-rj-professional-msfs-manuals [image: ef406bf8-ee90-4492-b648-938c2aa89f05.png] Mark - Just Flight

@neinnunb yeah I think this is what many of us are pushing for - not having to return back to the main hub.

Well done, now I have found the RJ100 passenger aircraft. Once one of those has been selected then the RJ100 passenger version shows up in the MSFS aircraft list and not the QT version, which can be selected using the configuration setting. I assume Just Flight have configured the aircraft in that way. Many thanks for your help.

Thank you! I think I must have been over complicating things and using increase/decrease as the operation, and trying every which way...

@trisager Ah... That I did not try... makes sense, as upon landing Hydraulics were on and it worked when I requested deboarding... Thank you for replying.

@Delta558 No worries, have fun! I investigated it a bit further in the meantime. The trim tab seems to have a lot more impact on the overall lift coefficient than the elevator itself - which is odd to me. I tried to map my joystick to the trim axis and the trim to the elevator axis and that actually gave me realistic control over it in slow flight (looks very funny to steer that thing but only the trim tab moves). Can you try landing that thing without trimming it, because that seems to be the core of my problem - i.e. without trim, no slow flight possible because elevator alone cannot create enough lift with that low power setting.

For those just dipping their toes into the AAO route, I'll offer my (still novice) experience. The program has some quirks that I encounter from time to time, but overall I love it and I use it for all of my planes. The "Scripts->Watch Simulator Events" can be a great help, depending on the plane. Also, MSFS dev mode toolbar "Tools->Behaviors" is indispensable when it comes to investigating what's happening when you press a button or move an axis. I started using AAO because in both MSFS 2020 and 2024 I have completely lost my controller profiles several times (once was my own fault, I did a cloud reset and didn't investigate how to save the profiles first). This was extremely frustrating for me, especially with 2024's very laggy controllers menu pre-SU3. AAO has overall been a godsend. Since getting most of the basics, the only thing that's been challenging enough for me to give up on is camera controls. Just didn't have the gumption for it, so they're all still bound in the sim. Edit: Also, thanks @HadronFlux for the video, I'll definitely be watching it to see what tips & tricks I can pick up.

REDUCED THRUST TAKE OFF PERFORMANCE I created a performance spreadsheet for the 146 and other aircraft some time ago. I recently included the Avro range but did not have access to the Avro reduced thrust figures. The 146 flex figures err on the safe side. The spreadsheet is available freely from flightsim.to. Note that it requires the installation of Libre Office, which isa free program. https://flightsim.to/file/24722/aircraft-runway-performance-spreadsheet Paul Gale

@Kelm77 Your best bet would be to contact Just Flight Support. They should be able to look into this kind of thing for you. https://community.justflight.com/topic/2/product-support

I stick to medium, personally. "Realistic" is absolutely insane and exaggerates way too much, especially on approaches with light or calm winds. Medium is still a bit heavy but it's more manageable without wrestling with the yoke and pedals. I would speculate that "realistic" works better with heavies but I don't fly many airliners in sim. I've noticed less an effect with the greater inertia in similar conditions, so I picked the middle ground, if even medium feels a bit too strong.

My copy of the Aircrew Manual does not have them. However, since you stated that the Sim Manual is based off of the rea FRCs, I will use those until I am able to track down a real life copy. I think I've seen a couple of digitized versions for sale floating around the web.

We haven't looked into the nav light behaviour post SU3, so I can't say for certain yet if there are any blockers that would prevent us from developing a workaround. It's something we'll properly look into when we come to developing the next update to the RJ. Mark - Just Flight

The RJ v0.1.4 update does have additional model LODs in both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, so there may be some performance improvements from that. Plus, there were some optimisations within the core simulator with Sim Update 16. So with those combined, you may see a slight performance improvement on Xbox. Mark - Just Flight
