@Black-Square So whatever reason caused MY issues with the install of the .a version, it is not causing any issues with the original installer (initial) used. Done several patterns with using ALL of the vertical/ lateral modes and it works as intended. (used the in-cockpit switches). Now on to SPAD.Next hardware assignments (ref: Manual Vars) Thanks Nick

What a wonderful message from a user I recognize so well. Thank you so much. I don't know if you've heard me talk about this on some streams and YouTube videos, but I was really worried that I was not going to be able to deliver an enjoyable true canard aerodynamics experience. The tricks I learned from the Velocity did not seem to scale well. In the end, weeks of work on spreadsheets yielded what you have experienced today. There are some things I would change if it was easier, but I think it provides just the right amount of challenge and stability. Thanks again, and glad you're enjoying Starship!

@lancealotg Yeah he gets major details wrong very early, the BS meter pegs hard right away. But I'll read it for the entertainment.

That is because a lot of RNAV SIDs and STARs have special leg types that can’t be replicated with manual waypoint entry. AIRNC 424 specifies 23 different leg types such as course to altitude, heading to intercept, radius to fix, DME arcs, etc. Of these 23 legs, only fix to fix legs can be easily replicated by manual entry. If you find a STAR or SID that only has fix to fix routing, there’s no technical reason why you can’t fly it. You can perform the others with some creative flying, but it technically won’t be as accurate as a fully AIRNC 424 capable navigation system. Hence why the regulations require you to select all procedures from the database. Better safe than sorry.

No sorry that was not clearer. IAS, VS, Decent just would not engage and I thought I had everything unbound. Come to find out the one thing I did not unbind was my stream deck+. I unplugged it and this flight everything is working fine. Thanks for the quick replies tho.

@Black-Square You mentioned oscillations at high altitudes, I am currently cruising at 25000ft and fly with FMS 1 as nav source (AP NAV SRC is FMS as well) and NAV Hold selected and I get roll ocillations and my heading changes +-3deg over a period of pretty much 30sec. Is there anything I may be doing wrong?

Hi, there is a thread about including a GTN 650. You can probably take a lot of the info out there. Someone suggested to mod the aircraft to be able to use a GTN750, I do not know how that works, but you may find something interessting there.

They were some nice models that did some tricks here and there, the dirtiest one is to use a jet engine model (which has the same issues with the n1 decreasing with altitude) and animate the prop, but I might do some trials and errors, I can’t really believe that is that bad and anything can’t be done with the tables, maybe another dirt trick, like making it 120% of n1 capable and by tables with altitude maybe is able to overpower the torque values when on ground, and decrease with altitude and be able to still reach that 104% at altitude, so, I need to do some trials or maybe just do a massive complain to asobo

Ah yes, that would be because I used Asobo's template for that GNS instead of my own, as I have done in other aircraft. I'll see what I can do.

@dadgametime there is a manual included with the aircraft that is very comprehensive. Also includes power settings.

Fun stuff! At least I hope it was for you. With how rare failures are when operating at the 1x multiplier, I always enjoy a minor failure when they occur. I wonder if you could have caught that failure with a proper runup. Of course, you can always disable failures completely, if this is not to your liking. I'm not aware of any guidance on which systems to take offline when the checklist calls for "reduced load"; however, if you got really flustered, you could manually open the generator ties. This would ensure that the remaining generator stays within limits by dropping all the loads on the inoperative generator's bus. The autopilot remained engaged for not quite the reason you would expect, but I have fixed that now. Thank you!

@intjmastermind said in Looking for Alt Preselect variable to display on my MCP hardware: @Qazme It’s the altitude in meters! Multiply by 3.048 to get feet. OH man....I'm normally on top of these things.......I'll give that a whirl thanks! @Black-Square said in Looking for Alt Preselect variable to display on my MCP hardware: As in, you're getting a weird number out of it that doesn't look like an altitude? We've been discussing that here, if you want to try some things and join in. Yeah I mean who would ever fly in non-freedom units LOL. THANKS!

Yes they have their own dark matter powered battery so they won't affect the aircraft main battery lol. I think the devs said he made it like that so we don't get dead batteries all the time I think
