Steam Gauge Overhaul

So just an update, I have found the file thanks to the JF Staff. When I was searching my C: drive i was never writing out the complete file name "bksq-aircraft-analogcaravan" thinking that it should still find it. After I did this i have now found it under the roaming community folder. I have moved it to the local community folder.

@skychicken check your antivirus. Most probably flagged as virus.

Hi folks. We've heard a few times via Support about this one and the answer to it is actually on the flightsim.to page for the mod's update/replacement as a known issue: "- When used with Black Square C208B Analog Mod you will hear continuous FIRE ALARM. To work around the problem remove C208B-mod\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_208B_GRAND_CARAVAN_EX\sound\C208B Fire Alarm.wav file." While there are a few mentions of it on the original mod's page comments, which don't seem to have been replied to, the mod has been superseded by further work of another developer, from whose page that text has been taken - it can be found here: https://flightsim.to/file/46677/cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-improvement-mod. @jk40 Got similar in Caravan. Can only change altitude and Vert speed if I come put of GPS mode to nav mode.

@derek Hi Derek, I did my due diligence and I believe now that everything works as intended: the analog clock may display local time instead of UTC Fuel is first drawn from the aux tanks, so the main gauge changes not much for a while. And on shorter flights, I got the impression they were stuck The fact that both generators show voltage when only on engine is running is explained in the manual. So all is good. Except, of course, the missing doors. It would be so cool to have a high quality B350 that can be loaded using GSX. And adding more state saving would make the addon even better

@systemdefault if you are using GTN750 only Nav1 is available. But open a ticket and ask the developer, perhaps they can add it in a future version.

@voice-of-reason Is the Bonanza still in development? Really looking forward to seeing the treatment Black Square brings to it. And is it safe to assume it's going to be an A36, the non-glass version of the G?

@elglon Your statement that low idle provides less thrust is only true for the idle setting. At take-off it does not make any difference. Only when pulling the levers back to idle the thrust will be different.

@elglon So I tried again today, and it worked just fine for me! Flew a beautiful flight from Mount Cook to Queenstown. Bumpy approach in the mountains, but not bad for my first try. I have some competing theories regarding what was going on. Firstly, I turned off all engine failures (though none were registered). I did not have any open circuit fuses. Secondly, I closed the app SkyDolly, which I use for inflight recordings. I've noticed previously that SkyDolly has done some strange stuff to my airplane systems. I'll see if I can reproduce the issue and post back any updates that I have. But for now, the issue seems to have been resolved.

@steve6248 It clearly is a typo in the manual.

I'm afraid this issue has cropped up again after the recent GNS update. Had issues with the AP today after updating, but the issues went away after removing the beta. One other fix I suspect would work but that I didn't try was removing the TDS GTN750NXi from the community folder. I think that's worked before. But anyway, I just wanted to mention this again.

I hear the stall warning when activating the test switch that you are referring to. Could it be a tripped circuit breaker?

Disregard. For any unknown reason it suddenly works. There were no changes from my side...

I just found out the electrical_circuit_toggle event (146) is the key to activate both prop test gov and gnd idle stop functions.
