King Air: Propeller RPM’s spike when throttles pulled to idle
-
Hello, as the title reads, when coming in for a landing and you pull the throttles to idle at touch down, the prop rpm’s will reduce but then spike, resulting in it sounding like you are throttling up again. Is anyone else experiencing this? Pretty immersion killing when you are about to throw in some reverse thrust but the rpm’s and sounds are bugging out… hope this can be fixed as I don’t remember this issue being present on the initial release.

@punch try these tips
- increase the torque slowly so governor can do its job right, otherwise prop rpm will go over redline;
- wait NG stabilize at 19.5% (wait at least 3s after reaching 19.5%) then move mixture to Slow Idle, you will notice the ITT should not go over ITT start redline and no damage to the engines.
I got these instructions from a video of a real King Air pilot, I have had no problem since then.
