    Thanks - I haven't flown the VC10 for a while but I'll make sure I do that.

    @del47 said in Cross-bleed/APU starts?:

Since installing the latest version I don't seem to be able to use the Cross-Bleed system on starting. I have to instead keep the ground air supply on until all four engines have started. Also, I can't get the APU to start the aircraft. As anyone else experienced the same problems or is just that I'm doing something wrong?

    Hi Del,

We'll investigate this further. Can you submit a support ticket in case we need any more info?

    Thanks
    Martyn

  • Fuel Tank layout/Refueling instructions

I have gone into this myself and worked out the following. Centre is the Centre tank. Centre 2 is the Fin tank. Left Aux is No. 1, Left is No.2, Left Tip is No. 1A, Right Aux is No.4, Right is No. 3, Right Tip is No. 4A. The following are taken from the BOAC instructions for fuel loading.
Minimum fuel for take-off = 10,000 kg. Fuel load 10,000 kg to 17,600 kg equally loaded into tanks 1, 2, 3, and 4 only. Fuel load 17,600 kg to 24,000 kg, tanks 1 and 1A to equal within 150 kg and similarly for tanks 4 and 4A. Also the total of 1 and 1A shall equal tank 2 to within 150kg, similarly for the other side. For loads 24,000 kg to 29,000 kg, load 24,000 kg into wing tanks as above and up to 5,000 into the Centre tank. For loads above 29,000kg, load 5,000kg into centre tank. Load remainder into wing tanks as above until 1A and 4A are full, then equally into 1, 2, 3, and4 until full, then into centre and Fin tanks in ratio 2.3 centre to 1 fin. Hope this all makes sense.

I too would like to see a fuel/load manager. I’ve seen several other posts from other forum members making the same request. It really would make a great aircraft...that much greater; that much more...... ‘professional ‘.
    Anyway here’s hoping.

It's already there on the relevant aircraft. It is labelled as 'Centre2' in the fuel and payload section - there is no facility for altering the names of the fuel tanks in FS, you're stuck with what Microsoft came up with many years ago!

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Thanks for your reply and help, Peter. I understand now about WYPT CHG. The problem I had, though, was that, say, I set WP1 about 20 miles from the airport the INS would not navigate the A/C to that one and instead went to WP2 and then on to the next ones.
I downoaded the CIVA add-on and read the comprehensive documentation. That suggested making the first waypoint the same as the coordinates used for the POS (WP0). I see that on the INS Tutorial that's in the VC10 manual the first WP is only a mile away from the runway. By using this method the A/C now flies from WP1 to WP2?

We're not currently planning to create a separate avionics fit for the RAF main instrument panel but that's something we would consider if the product is popular and there is sufficient customer interest in it.

Please submit these to our support team for investigation (https://community.justflight.com/topic/144/technical-support-and-reporting-bugs).

The change log on the support page (you should have also received it via email) lists all the changes made in the updates. Anything not included on the list, including the manual and door controls, are still work-in-progress.

    Thanks

Yes I might try a different effect, the one used now is almost impossible to see, I agree with what you say some of these effect are way over the top but in this case it's as good as non existent.
