I stick to medium, personally. "Realistic" is absolutely insane and exaggerates way too much, especially on approaches with light or calm winds. Medium is still a bit heavy but it's more manageable without wrestling with the yoke and pedals. I would speculate that "realistic" works better with heavies but I don't fly many airliners in sim. I've noticed less an effect with the greater inertia in similar conditions, so I picked the middle ground, if even medium feels a bit too strong.

Hi, sorry for not replying back sooner............I've been having so much fun learning the RJ. So I sorted out the moving around the aircraft using ALT+ as you suggested. Doors now work, along with PA and Airstairs.............Like I said in my original post, I've just moved over from FSX to MSFS2024 so it is a steep learning curve for me. The APU being stuck in the start position is now sorted too. I have a Bravo Throttle quadrant and the six switches along the top I had set up for Lights, De-ice etc. Somehow the bindings got changed and one became APU ON, so wouldn't switch off. I unassigned the binding and suddenly the switch works fine. So it seems all is well now. I was hoping my results might help anyone else or add to your knowledge in case anyone else gets a similar issue. Thanks again for your help. Going to download and try the new Quiet Trader now! What part of setting it up are you having trouble with? Do you understand how to use profiles, and how to assign events to buttons? Everything SPAD is mostly documented with Youtube videos. Which is nice if you can find a video that matches what you are trying to do, but it can also mean spending hours wading through content on topics that is not exactly what you are looking for, and wasting time on videos that are no longer relevant because of later changes to SPAD.

I think it must be the navdata for that particular airport. Possibly the third party addon messing with it. When I tried a different airport (KSRQ) it worked just fine. The SID from KATL also worked just fine in both flight plans.

Thanks. I am enjoying the RJ. My reasoning to get both was that I am not planning on getting a full glass cockpit airliners. I used to have the PDMG 737-800 in FSX, but used to only take it on short trips. The RJ is a good mix for short flights with some level of automation. I know that I will enjoy the 146 even more.

Fixed, luckily another user had the same problem and he posted this solution and it worked for me Create directory "Microsoft Flight Simulator" inside directory "C:\Users%USERNAME%|AppData|Roaming" Copy file "UserCfg.opt" from "C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Local|Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8 wekyb3d8bbwelLocalCache" into newly created directory above (1.) That's it - then you can run installer and after install you can remove

You may find it more useful to use the CDU tuning by clicking NAV, COM, or ATC on the left side of the CDU keypad. No decimals required, and even if you don't have the RTU's in 3-digit mode it works great. Neat thing about the NAV tuning is that you can enter the 3-letter identifier and it'll auto-tune the frequency, clutch in a "slam dunk" situation when you're scrambling single-pilot to prep when ATC is running at a high tempo.

For the most part, the RJ should use standard control assignments for any controls that are common between aircraft (Parking brake, flaps, lights, etc.). We do, however, use some non-standard control assignments for controls that are specific to the RJ.
