Hi all, we have been looking into this one but it's proving a difficult one to replicate. Once you pass over the T/C point, the TO T/C field on the PROGRESS page should be hidden once the aircraft reaches the T/C (and that's the logic we are seeing on our side).

Could I ask when this issue occurs:

Were all mandatory fields on the PERF INIT page completely filled out when creating the flight plan (GW/ZFW, RESERVES, CRZ ALT)? Were any modifications done to the flight plan after it was original created? I.e, any Direct-Tos, new waypoints added, etc.

Any other information would also be appreciated. as once we are able to reproduce the issue it will likely become much simpler to fix.

2 - I got a direct to KUMIK shortly after DK038 I think. (KUMIK1R departure)

Many late 146-300/200 QT and QC were build with upgraded PFD and ND. They are not the same screens as those used on the RJ. The these aircraft retained the standard type altimeter, asi, sby a/h etc. The was a separate BAe option available to replace the clockwork PFD/HSI of early models with flat screens.

@rj Thank you for the feedback. It's one of those very specific things that we could never find an answer for in the FCOMs, so we based the logic on what we have seen in other aircraft. We've logged that on our internal bugs tracker to look into.

@Martyn This is also an issue on the 146, just incase you've only applied the fix to the RJ.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The engine response times are custom-coded based on videos taken in the real RJ. It would be expected for the spool times to be much quicker than higher-bypass engines that you would find on an A320 or 737 as there's a lot less rotating mass in the LF507s by comparison. I will bring this up with our development team though just to double-check everything.

With regards to some systems (like the TRP and YD) not being functional following a change of aircraft state on the EFB, this possibly could be misunderstood for the FGC test. If the aircraft's power supply is changed when switching states (such as Cold and Dark > Turnaround) an FGC Test will be triggered once the power is restored. Off the top of my head, the FGC Test takes 45 seconds to complete after power has been applied to the aircraft and during that time, a few systems such as the TRP and YD will not be functional. Once the FGC Test is complete, an FGC PASS message will appear at the top right corner of the PFD.

I suspect it may be possible to confuse the FGC Test logic if a change of aircraft state is made before an FGC test is completed (I.e. if the aircraft state is changed from Cold and Dark > Turnaround, then 10 seconds later to Ready For TO). I doubt it would be an issue if only one aircraft state change was made every minute. We'll do some tests with this to see if we can break that logic and if so, prevent that from occurring in the future.

There isn't any way to see how long is left on the alignment process in the aircraft. However, as a general rule of thumb alignment will take 2.5 minutes at the equator, and can take as long as 15 minutes at 70 degrees latitude.

The FAQ posted a few comments above also includes a fast align 'hack' if you wish to speed up the process.

I had a similar problem, the rate file was saved with <src icao><dst icao>01.rte, so for KMRY to KLAS, KMRYKLAS01.rte. initially I tried to load KMRYKLAS in coroute, but that would fail, when I tried KMRYKLAS01 in coroute, that loaded the plan correctly. So maybbe cheek if this is the problem for you.

I believe switching on either CONT IGN switch will also illuminate the ENG ANT-ICE caption on the CSP.

That is not something I have ever done personally though, so please bear in mind a reinstall of the product may be required if deleting those files causes any unexpected issues.

Unlike the 146, the RJ doesn't have seperate positions for flight idle and ground idle, it just has an "IDLE" position (labelled on the pedestal).

Perhaps you are referring to the FUEL ON / FUEL OFF positions? In which case the throttles can be moved between those two positions either by clicking the latches on the rear face of each throttle, or by using the SET ENGINE X FUEL VALVE control assignments (where "X" is the engine number).

Quick update on my first point. The oscillation in pitch happens in both lvl change and in vs whether beginning a descent or climb. It seems like the aircraft over compensates the fpm of climb or descent and then tries to correct itself but overcorrects. Thus it begins to oscillate up and down.

From my experience, go into SYNC mode, follow the FD and trim out the plane. Once you are at a point where you only need minimal control inputs, the AP should be stable enough again once you disable SYNC.

It seems to be a runaway condition somewhere in the AP code that sometimes starts to overcorrect deviations and can't get back to stable without manual intervention, but once you've intervened it tends to remain stable for a long enough time again. Usually that happens on slowdown for descent/arrival/approach (somewhere below 220kt) and is easily corrected.

Hi Mark, with AUTO THROTTLE (AT) engaged the THRUST LEVERS on the RJ move in response to thrust changes - much as with manual use of THRUST LEVER/S. It does not (or should not) operate as Airbus thrust levers.

With the AT engaged and speed mode in use the pilot is required to respond to any blue or white arrows and so keep the thrust lever motors within their operating range. The motors move the thrust levers in response to commanded thrust changes.
