    Hi there,

I’ve been enjoying this aircraft immensely, but I did notice some waypoint sequencing oddities. I created a route on the ground at the departure point, took off, and flew most of the way to the first waypoint. I then selected a 'direct to' course to the next waypoint, added an approach, and edited the plan as follows:

    From:
LAST ENR WAYPOINT → AIRFIELD VOR
    To:
LAST ENR WAYPOINT → IAF of an RNP APP

However, after passing the last ENR waypoint, the FMS continued to sequence to the VOR as the active waypoint, despite the FMS showing the correct edited sequence.

On the MFD with FMS1 source selected it continued to track to the VOR at the airfield despite the map showing the correct plan with the magenta line going to the IAF.

Given the level of simulation and fidelity, I’m wondering if this might actually be user error, but I wanted to share the details in case it’s a bug.

    Any help is much appreciated!

While I can't say definitively what happened here, I am fairly certain that this relates to the bug I discovered in MSFS 2024's flight planner that pushed me over the edge to implementing my own complete solution over the weekend. I already had so many workarounds for MSFS 2020, and then I discovered yet more issues, and different issues, with the same system in MSFS 2024. Hopefully, all of these issues will go away with my new version, as mine is much more "what you see is what you get" then either simulator's (rather strange) flight planners. Thanks for letting me know, though, and I look forward to seeing you try this again with all my new flight planning and autopilot code.

Sounds like you've got your hands full. Also, no complaints from me at all, I think is actually one of the most satisfying aeroplanes I have ever purchased and flown in MSFS. It's great that you're engaging with the community too and working through the minror bugs (which are inevitable in such a complex and detailed release).

I did take a screenshot of the behaviour that I experienced and have now figured out how to post it here. Hope it helps!

As mentioend you'll be able to see the HSI/ARC showing the current active waypoint as the one that was deleted from the FMS flight plan - the MNG VOR which was at the airfield. I loaded the approach and the IAF is MIMSQ. All looks good on the FMS and MFD but it just hung onto it on the HSI/ARC/MAP.

Keep up the great work. And thanks for keeping this beauty alive!

I'm still pretty sure my next update will clear this all up, but just so I can understand the situation, the problem is that the flight plan appears to be correct in all ways, except the aircraft is flying to MER, and the target waypoint in the upper left-hand corner of the ND is also MER, correct? If I have that correct, it's almost certainly the MSFS 2024 problem I encountered.
