@Voxen have you tested that again? Because no matter what I try in the Baron and Bonanza, I can’t get any fouling.

@SkipperMacz said in Spontaneous engine failure with no engine issues showing in EFB: @jmarkows said in Spontaneous engine failure with no engine issues showing in EFB: Aircraft stress damage should be off and engine stress damage on. ... remembering of course that when the check mark is "ON" you're actually DISABLING the damage - so "tick the boxes" to disable Crash and Aircraft Stress damage, but leave the Engine Stress box unticked. Or have I got this totally back-to-front? I'll be away from my sim pc for a few more days, but I believe you're correct on this important point.

Thank you all for the constructive discussion. Yes, it’s the non-turbo C114 And I’m still at 100 per cent. Although, unfortunately, my flying isn’t always exactly exemplary. That’s why I was wondering if everything was working properly on my end. But I’m not going to complain! One thing’s for sure: I get 100 per cent enjoyment out of flying Blacksquare aircraft. Thanks to them.

@SkipperMacz bugged drag calculations will be more noticeable with higher performance aircraft, tho you may get slightly better than the book performance in the 114. I'm curious to know if it is effecting all aircraft (unfortunately I believe it would be). Not sure how something that big can get messed up in a sim update, very strange...

The static air pressure, in contrast, provides the reference for the airspeed indicator, vertical speed indicator, and altimeter. The static port is usually located on the fuselage of the aircraft. If it becomes blocked, an alternate static source may be available, often located inside the cabin. In an unpressurized aircraft, the cabin pressure is usually close to the ambient static pressure, although a small deviation may occur. I like to practise handling these systems using the failure simulation system, which allows us to simulate a system failure and practise managing it by switching to the alternate system.

It's been more than a few months since I've flown a plane in the sim with a dual GPS config just because of personal preference so I couldn't remember if this was expected/normal behavior or not.

The mixture axis works just fine for me using the stock Mixture Axis (0-100) binding in the MSFS settings.

I would also love a way to disable the cabin temp lights in the cockpits, much like there is in Starship (or they're just missing altogether), though I realize that's an edge case because it has that handy cabin temp gauge right there on the center pedestal.

Hi Andre, As you can imagine, I get lots of requests for lots of avionics in all my aircraft. There are many logistical challenges with adding a G1000 specifically, but foremost, I'm not aware that there is a G1000 STC for any of the single engine Commanders. I'm not sure it even has the panel real estate, but I could be wrong. The PA-28 is a similar form factor and needed a panel redesign to accommodate the G1000. Do you have any examples of this setup? I hope you're enjoying the aircraft! Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you.

I don't know if this is true of some aircraft in the Commander family, but the pitot blade depicted in my model is a combination pitot-static unit, with a tiny static port on the aft of the blade. It's only 2.5mm in diameter, but rest assured, the aircraft is not actually without a static port.

The main alternator is the rocker switch to the right of the battery master switch.

@Zacke said in Some minor observations: The KLN 90B and the MC60 digital localizer work together as the should but passing a flightplan waypoint the KLN 90B keeps alerting to adjust the the track forever. So you have the MSG alert alway on via the announciator and the KLN 90B keeps flashing the desired track and keeps the ADJ NAV IND CRS TO xxx message in the stack. From memory I'm not sure when the KLN 90B does stop this alert after passing a waypoint but I never had that persistant behaviour before. Maybe it has to do with the TRK function of the MC60: The KLN 90B awaits a kind of confirmation from the MC60 that the track was changed. If the KLN 90B acts like the GNS 530, it's probably just reading the simvar for the NAV1 OBS to see if the pilot has set the correct course. It's a link party! https://community.justflight.com/topic/11398/mc60-and-gns-530-interaction-issue

Interesting... The only thing the defroster does is turn on the windshield deice, so I suspect Asobo considers the "melt system" (as it's called in the material parameters) to include the windshield deice, even though the windshield is a different material... I've made the appropriate change now and will see if it makes a difference. If you haven't noticed, the icing features in MSFS were not very well thought out, in my opinion.

@rinkerbuck said in Holding the localizer: well RNAV approaches don't have localizers, so I'm questioning what you're actually doing when this is happening. Also what avionics options, what radio stack setup are you using? I am using the STEC autopilot with a TDS GTN750. Maybe I should have used quote marks around the term "Localizer".. I meant zig zagging along the lateral track on final. Airspeed around 90 knots with one or two notches of flaps and gear out..
