@vortexwake Working on lighting, some new aircraft and liveries at the moment. Also working on updated IATA/ICAO database as well as the flights database. Still no progress on the changes to the flight schedules, but it's not for want of trying. We will get the latest changes tested asap and see what transpires.

Perhaps opening a Support Ticket will get some response to this issue as this forum has been very quiet lately

    @Derek

Well, I didn't ask, as I had already been to the JF support system and there is no mention of refund requests anywhere, SO maybe you should get with your web developer and fix that, too.

Not sure how we would mention 'refund requests'. If you have a problem, contact support and, as we say in our Ts and Cs, if we can't get you working we will make sure you aren't out of pocket.

You can disagree all you like, but the bullet points on your product page list features that are not available, or not functioning, and your manual has huge holes in it regarding the advertised customization. not to mention the dead buttons for editing aircraft and importing/exporting. Then there's the non-populating drop down menu boxes in ALL of the aircraft modification sections, having to restart the program completely for the aircraft list to repopulate from the changes you've made before creating flight plans for said aircraft (otherwise you have to retype all the flightplans because the new aircraft are simply shown as N/A). There is no modification of the "included" GA flightplans, nor do said flightplans include several models that are contained within the supplied fleet of ai models. There is no method to import any existing schedules, which EVERY single AI management program released (payware OR freeware) has had available since AI traffic was first available with custom tracks in FS98.

Shall I really go on picking this thing apart?

Of course you may, but it doesn't seem to be the general view.

I might have reacted differently had you bothered to respond initially, and point things in the right direction, but you chose to ignore it (and your other responses in the forums since the OP confirm you chose to ignore it) until I reached my final level of frustration after days of fighting with your "program" trying to get it to work. I find your early access forums closed, and indications that you've gone RTM, yet still sell it as EA (make up your mind). And that points even more to amateur hour product development.

We don't provide support via forums. Happy to respond to any chat and discussions in the forum but we can't do proper support. We do try to make that as clear as possible.

And if your current crop of customers only expect to import your schedules and nothing else, then fine, because yes, there are those out there that only care that they have the most up-to-date schedules available, or the most comprehensive list of airliners, and others such as UT Live and AIG don't keep up with the schedules as fast as some would like. But I expect the customization options that are described in your product page, and I guess that maybe nobody else does, or if they do, it is as an afterthought, not their primary purpose. So I guess that makes me different than all of your previous customers, because I want a product that delivers on all of the things it advertises, especially if it is the most expensive in its' category (UT Live is $44 and My Traffic 2013 is $40), and that it delivers value, which even throwing out the customization, TG falls short: 48,408 flight plans as shown on the startup screen, compared to 600,000+ for UTL, and 800,000+ for MT2013, with UTL having GA flightplans, and MT2013 having both GA and Military flightplans included).

So, be smug all you want. all you've offered is a restricted Traffic Database Builder, which I can't remember Microsoft offering commercial distribution third party licences for, and as I recall distribution originally required purchase of FSX Deluxe, Acceleration, or Gold Edition and was not available free to the public, with flight schedules you purchased from somebody, and a pretty UI... And now that I've gone there, I see Martin Wright's dll's in the directory, but no mention of him in the manual, and i rather doubt that Richard Slater chose exactly the same file names for dll's that he programmed as Martin did...

Martin works for Just Flight - not sure what point you are making. We don't tend to credit our own team - usually just freelancers and third parties that have contributed.

Nobody else may be able, or even want to see this for what it is, but you don't live up to your own selling points, and I found that out after parting with my money.

Now, IF this is all just a misunderstanding, please point to me where your unnoticed features are, and how to use them, and maybe I'll cool my jets a bit. But I rather suspect that they are indeed non-existant, and you were just too lazy to eliminate them from your product page, and willing to take the chance that someone will buy the thing and then just roundfile it without saying anything, and assuming, like I do, that there are no refunds available once the software has been installed and used, since there is nothing on the JF support page indicating that said refunds are indeed available, probably (to use the overused and pathetic excuse) due to potential piracy concerns.

No, we don't offer refunds unless people have a problem. As I say, if you have a problem we always ask you to contact support and, if we can't fix it, we will ensure you aren't out of pocket.

Again, sorry to hear you are unhappy but that's not our intention and we are confident that the majority of our users don't see things the same way.

One flaw in this you can possibly trick TG into compiling more flight plans without errors but cant make the sim load them, when you go into flight the last bit of the loading bar is loading traffic and will fill as many parking spot`s as it can, what it cannot use it will reject once the sim is running TG will not spawn more traffic from the plans that were not loaded it does not work like that as some AI programs do.

I'm not entirely sure where all this has come from. I have no idea if Ray Fry was at our show at the weekend. If he was, he certainly didn't speak to Richard (or me), but, if he did, we were unaware of it and I apologise if anything we said could have been so badly put as to generate such a confusing situation. I certainly have no idea what these 'other commitments' might be. The Early Access forum has been archived as there seems little point in asking for suggestions on what shape a product should take when it is already finished and the feature list is finalised.

I'm afraid all this 'after the weekend'/secret squirrel/dark forces/tap-tap/say no more/ulterior motives talk rather smacks of trolling TBH.

What I can confirm is that the product has been in a 'final release format' for many months, but has overstayed its welcome in Early Access awaiting the bugs with liveries and aircraft models to be fixed along with the addition of night lighting. Those are all now complete. As I explained before in the Early Access forum, these relatively straightforward jobs took a lot longer than expected due to the external dev team that made the models closing down and leaving us with the merry job of finding developers willing to work on someone else's creations. However, that was done, albeit taking a lot longer than we would have liked, and it wasn't helped by our in-house dev team being on other projects and therefore unable to devote much time to helping with fixes that weren't planned to be part of their workload.
So, no conspiracy theories, no AFCAD oddness, no doing other things, nothing happened 'at the weekend'; just time going against us. We have acquired an updated database and tested it in the XP version of Traffic Global. We will roll it out to the P3D version once testing is complete, but, in the meantime, the P3D program works well and, rest assured, it will be dropping its Early Access moniker pretty soon. That's clearly providing an opportunity for this misinformation so I will address that first thing tomorrow.

I have always tried to be as candid and open with those asking questions as I possibly can and, if anyone had asked me over the weekend (without a tape recorder), about delays, 'other commitments' or anything else for that matter, I would have kept them entertained with a nice long rant about the aforementioned modellers. As it is, no-one mentioned it.

I hope that serves to clear any confusion up.
