If you copy your aircraft into the Traffic Global Simobjects [default location: C:\Users\your username\Documents\TrafficGlobal\TrafficGlobalFleet], it should show up in the dropdown box so you can create your own flightplans using the TG program.
Or use AIFP3, which is much easier.
The GA traffic in TG is just a mix of default aircraft and direct copies of some from Traffic 360 (expect to see Beaver floatplanes and black prop discs on the GAA-5 and C152 due to a missing folder). -
@Capt-Quirk I tried moving the aircraft, an that didn't seem to work.. maybe because I don't use the default drive for any of my flightsim stuff.. I have a 4TB dedicated drive for FS only, because of the sheer number of addons I have (currently about 2.6TB used)..
I saw that the GA was just a mix of default aircraft, but I was hoping that I could substitute TG's planes for a healthy mix of the ORBX NA aircraft for a beefier collection of flightplans, and then fill in new FP's at needed airports later..
but alas, just like UTL, this one seems lacking in the customization dept.
AIFP works great, except the sheer amount of time building FP's from scratch.. been building FP's since FS2k2, and know my way around the process well enough, was just looking for an easier way for bulk population.

Sorry, you can never tell just how familiar anyone is with ai...and working around the anomolies in TG isn't always that straightforward. I've not personally bothered with the inbuilt GA, preferring a mix of my own, but I have experimented with adding planes to TG and it really seemed like a pretty convoluted way of doing things that you should have been able to do via the TG interface.
Strange too, that JF went to all the trouble of including 2 very nice bizjet models (a Lear and a Citation) which have only blank textures and are completely unused!
I guess a simple way would be use AIFP3 to decompile the GA_AI.bgl (You've no doubt noticed that there's also several 'default' ones of various sizes buried in the TG directories) and then edit the resulting Aircraft_GA_AI.txt to substitute the planes and then recompile.
For only a few extra pennies, you might also consider the excellent HTAI package in order to add single engined Cessnas worldwide and bulk out the resulting traffic that way, adding bizjet and twins by substitution in the TG GA AI. -
yeah, probably going to be the way to do it.. as for Henry's Cessna's, I was among the first to buy them :) lol, I just have them all bundled together with the ORBX AI, and the stuff from Ultimate GA, along with other freeware ones (mostly from Avsim).. too bad he never went back to finish the Pipers..
In the end, like I say, I was hoping for some good comprehensive plans... might have to dig out the M$ tools to populate with, then use AIFP to upconvert them and then start subbing.. I've done that before, but it becomes a long process, too, as there is no organization to the M$ flightplans when they get compiled (I like to sort mine by region).

After messing around with this for the last couple days, I did actually manage to get aircraft imported into the database, and even manage to get some flights supposedly added, however that function does not appear to be working. With no other traffic activated (I even shut down boat traffic), nothing comes up..
So, this appears to be yet another overpriced "we'll add regular schedules to your sim for airlines that everybody in the sim world already offers" addon. And of course, because I have installed and used it, I'm certain there's no refund.. TG's database doesn't come close to touching UTL, MT2013, or even AIG. It lacks the additional content of MAIG and UltimateGA, and lacks the customization features to fix any of it. I purchased it as an early access (as it's still to this day listed on the JF store page) to find out that they are calling it out of early access and a full release version, which is a gross misstatement. The controls are wonky at best, and from what I've read so far, the dev's point is to just fire this up and let it interject his own schedules and call it good. The manual is beyond incomplete, and frankly this product for a layman would be totally unusable in its current form, and certainly not worth the $40 sale price, much less the $50 retail price.
But hey, it's got a pretty styled UI, right? Probably the only thing that works as it should..
This is so far from completion, I wouldn't even call it an Alpha release yet. As a pre-release, I'd give it a lot more latitude, but to call this a RTM title is beyond a stretch of even the most wild imagination.
And yes, i'm pretty upset about it.. for the money, I could have bought 2 more fully working ORBX airfields. I have over $10000 of FS software that I've collected over the last 25 years (yep, started with Abacus and Wilco back with FS95) And I've seen some pretty pathetic releases but to have one this badly vetted by JF takes the cake. Going back to Flight1, at least they know what they're doing, and can offer real support, rather than just rely on other users to answer questions.. :angry_face:

I'm afraid I disagree with that - but then, to paraphrase Mandy, I would, wouldn't I? The program does what it's intended to do and adds high quality AI traffic to P3D and FSX.
"....just fire this up and let it interject his own schedules..." is exactly what it's meant to do and is what most customers want. We have been making AI traffic add-ons since FS2002 and this approach has worked well up to now.
We are releasing a schedule update with a new database before it leaves EA, but, going by what you've written, this is unlikely to solve the issue for you.
Our best guide to the level of satisfaction in our products is how well they sell and what feedback we get from the customers that have bought it. TG has sold very well so far and feedback (albeit from laymen) to our support team has been very positive.I'd recommend getting in touch with JF support and asking for a refund.

Well, I didn't ask, as I had already been to the JF support system and there is no mention of refund requests anywhere, SO maybe you should get with your web developer and fix that, too.
You can disagree all you like, but the bullet points on your product page list features that are not available, or not functioning, and your manual has huge holes in it regarding the advertised customization. not to mention the dead buttons for editing aircraft and importing/exporting. Then there's the non-populating drop down menu boxes in ALL of the aircraft modification sections, having to restart the program completely for the aircraft list to repopulate from the changes you've made before creating flight plans for said aircraft (otherwise you have to retype all the flightplans because the new aircraft are simply shown as N/A). There is no modification of the "included" GA flightplans, nor do said flightplans include several models that are contained within the supplied fleet of ai models. There is no method to import any existing schedules, which EVERY single AI management program released (payware OR freeware) has had available since AI traffic was first available with custom tracks in FS98.
Shall I really go on picking this thing apart?
I might have reacted differently had you bothered to respond initially, and point things in the right direction, but you chose to ignore it (and your other responses in the forums since the OP confirm you chose to ignore it) until I reached my final level of frustration after days of fighting with your "program" trying to get it to work. I find your early access forums closed, and indications that you've gone RTM, yet still sell it as EA (make up your mind). And that points even more to amateur hour product development.
And if your current crop of customers only expect to import your schedules and nothing else, then fine, because yes, there are those out there that only care that they have the most up-to-date schedules available, or the most comprehensive list of airliners, and others such as UT Live and AIG don't keep up with the schedules as fast as some would like. But I expect the customization options that are described in your product page, and I guess that maybe nobody else does, or if they do, it is as an afterthought, not their primary purpose. So I guess that makes me different than all of your previous customers, because I want a product that delivers on all of the things it advertises, especially if it is the most expensive in its' category (UT Live is $44 and My Traffic 2013 is $40), and that it delivers value, which even throwing out the customization, TG falls short: 48,408 flight plans as shown on the startup screen, compared to 600,000+ for UTL, and 800,000+ for MT2013, with UTL having GA flightplans, and MT2013 having both GA and Military flightplans included).
So, be smug all you want. all you've offered is a restricted Traffic Database Builder, which I can't remember Microsoft offering commercial distribution third party licences for, and as I recall distribution originally required purchase of FSX Deluxe, Acceleration, or Gold Edition and was not available free to the public, with flight schedules you purchased from somebody, and a pretty UI... And now that I've gone there, I see Martin Wright's dll's in the directory, but no mention of him in the manual, and i rather doubt that Richard Slater chose exactly the same file names for dll's that he programmed as Martin did...
Nobody else may be able, or even want to see this for what it is, but you don't live up to your own selling points, and I found that out after parting with my money.
Now, IF this is all just a misunderstanding, please point to me where your unnoticed features are, and how to use them, and maybe I'll cool my jets a bit. But I rather suspect that they are indeed non-existant, and you were just too lazy to eliminate them from your product page, and willing to take the chance that someone will buy the thing and then just roundfile it without saying anything, and assuming, like I do, that there are no refunds available once the software has been installed and used, since there is nothing on the JF support page indicating that said refunds are indeed available, probably (to use the overused and pathetic excuse) due to potential piracy concerns.

@Roebuck certainly... That this is nowhere close to finished.. the manual isn't complete, and still missing information, from customization to proper credits.. Martin offers customized dll files to commercial developers on request, but there is no mention of him in the manual for supplying the dll's, only of Richard Slater for doing the programming. This is supporting my previous statements that this title is in no means ready for a RTM release with the feature set advertised on the product page.

Not sure how we would mention 'refund requests'. If you have a problem, contact support and, as we say in our Ts and Cs, if we can't get you working we will make sure you aren't out of pocket.

Of course you may, but it doesn't seem to be the general view.

We don't provide support via forums. Happy to respond to any chat and discussions in the forum but we can't do proper support. We do try to make that as clear as possible.

Martin works for Just Flight - not sure what point you are making. We don't tend to credit our own team - usually just freelancers and third parties that have contributed.

No, we don't offer refunds unless people have a problem. As I say, if you have a problem we always ask you to contact support and, if we can't fix it, we will ensure you aren't out of pocket.
Again, sorry to hear you are unhappy but that's not our intention and we are confident that the majority of our users don't see things the same way.
