FPL loading automatically into Starship's FMS from MSFS24 EFB
-
Hi, thank you for implementing the flight plan sync from MSFS24 EFB into the Starship's systems, I used it many times now successfully.
I just noticed that when I load a flight plan in the EFB (using Navigraph's EFB SimBrief plugin) and then start up the Starship's avionics, the flight plan is already loaded in the FMS, even though I didn't "Send" it to avionics or ATC from the EFB.
Is it supposed to work like that - syncing without my intervention? And one more wish, if I may. If possible, would you consider losing the "experimental" messages on the CDU when loading flight plan? I mean, I understand the reason behind it, but I think a notice like this would be enough mentioned in the manual or somewhere else, but right in your face in the CDU having you to press the MSG button to read and dismiss it, is a bit immersion breaking

Edit: to add, I'm loading the FPL into the EFB with the plane already loaded on the apron, powered off, not at the world map.

Ok, after further investigation I found that the Import button on the SimBrief EFB plugin also calls Send to Avionics and ATC. When I fill the plan in EFB manually, it is only synced to the Starship when actually clicking the Send button.
If this bothers you, can be solved by editing the SimBrief plugin not to call the send functions. Though Navigraph is not user-friendly like Black Square is and they minify their JS code, so you need to know what you're looking for to replace it. (that would besendRouteToAvionicsandfileRouteWithAtc, but don't tell anyone

I do believe you've converged on my would-be answer here. I will reduce the severity of the experimental message next time I update Starship. I will probably leave it in place for some scenarios, however. They all have slightly different wording, which would have helped me troubleshoot things, but it seems that the release of this feature went relatively smoothly. Thanks for letting me know how you're using it
