Hi, thank you for implementing the flight plan sync from MSFS24 EFB into the Starship's systems, I used it many times now successfully.
I just noticed that when I load a flight plan in the EFB (using Navigraph's EFB SimBrief plugin) and then start up the Starship's avionics, the flight plan is already loaded in the FMS, even though I didn't "Send" it to avionics or ATC from the EFB.
Is it supposed to work like that - syncing without my intervention?

And one more wish, if I may. If possible, would you consider losing the "experimental" messages on the CDU when loading flight plan? I mean, I understand the reason behind it, but I think a notice like this would be enough mentioned in the manual or somewhere else, but right in your face in the CDU having you to press the MSG button to read and dismiss it, is a bit immersion breaking 🙏

Edit: to add, I'm loading the FPL into the EFB with the plane already loaded on the apron, powered off, not at the world map.

Ok, after further investigation I found that the Import button on the SimBrief EFB plugin also calls Send to Avionics and ATC. When I fill the plan in EFB manually, it is only synced to the Starship when actually clicking the Send button.
If this bothers you, can be solved by editing the SimBrief plugin not to call the send functions. Though Navigraph is not user-friendly like Black Square is and they minify their JS code, so you need to know what you're looking for to replace it. (that would be sendRouteToAvionics and fileRouteWithAtc, but don't tell anyone 😁 )

I do believe you've converged on my would-be answer here. I will reduce the severity of the experimental message next time I update Starship. I will probably leave it in place for some scenarios, however. They all have slightly different wording, which would have helped me troubleshoot things, but it seems that the release of this feature went relatively smoothly. Thanks for letting me know how you're using it 🙂

@Black-Square Apologies for hijacking the thread, but I have a question:

If I have the GNS430 enabled in the Starship, is it possible to have the Flight Plan showing on the main FMS?

I know I can have the built in the 430 and acting as the main navigation system, but I'd like to know if it's possible to "follow along" without having to break my neck.

@Black-Square: Would it be possible to make the import feature a option in the EFB? I use the default ATC which is still buggy and then when it cancels my IFR for stupid reasonsit deletes the flight Plan from the EFB which rather annoying. So it would be great if one could choose to use this feature or not.

@piperdriver0624 I wish it were that easy. The central problem here is that I developed Starship around the native flight planner, completely unaware that it was intertwined with the ATC system in such ways. As I've said elsewhere, I know what would have to happen to completely separate these two, but it's very not trivial. I have some future aircraft in mind that might make use of the same system, so if I develop those, I will make the changes there, and then back-port them to Starship once the system is stable. Sorry you're dealing with the idiosyncrasies of MSFS ATC in the meantime! Trust me, it bothers me too.

@Black-Square Hi Nick, got it. I am a bit disappointed about that I won’t lie. But I do understand the predicament. I’ll be looking forward to a possible update.

Also I have to say I got the Starship in the JF Christmas sale and I absolutely love it. What an amazing Addon with so many option in the avionics. Great fun!

                Happy flying

@Black-Square I get issues from time to time with the native navdata and navigraph where some addon airports delete all the navigraph procedures. I talked to Matt from working title about it and he said it's a known issue and doesn't know if it can be fixed, but in the meantime most of my Canadian payware airports do not work with the starship or working title avionics because of this... So an external system where you can download the navdata from navigraph hub like with the TDS 750 would be nice... In the meantime, probably more work than it's worth.
