@allard That's weird, I have all three installed and SU12 beta launches fine for me, though I am using the (yet unreleased) flight model update on all three. Perhaps its that.

Here's hoping it won't be too much longer before they release the official PA28 updates!

@europa27 Great to hear about the new flight models. Hopefully the CTD are also fixed but it might be something Asobo needs to address. Several Carenado aircraft cause a CTD on launch as well.
In the beta Asobo did try to have MSFS start quicker so it could be related with how addons are loaded into the sim. Since most aircraft with issues are GA I would guess something with the avionics which they have in common. Anyway, hopefull Asobo will sort it out before release .

@superkaro2014 Apologies, I missed your first post.

Yes, all of our PA28s will be receiving an update in the next week or two. That will include some flight model tweaks, compatibility with the latest versions of the Working Title GNS, PMS-50 GTN and TDS GTNXi, and other general fixes for any issues reported since the last round of updates.

Hi all. Apologies for the lack of update, we've had a few attempts at release for these PA28 updates but have been frustrated by ongoing compatibility issues with the latest WT GNS, which became much more widely used following AAU1. We are now working directly with the WT team to track down and fix the issue, and we'll then be able to release the Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III/IV and Warrior II updates.

The latest versions of the PMS-50 GTN and TDS GTNXi are supported now, and we've added the EFB functionality from our 146 (Navigraph/SimBrief support, moving map etc).

            @martyn

            May I make a request ?

I find the Arrow very 'left turny' .... for want of a better expression.

I notice the autopilot applies a little right aileron to keep it straight... excellent touch ! Very realistic.

However... I am VERY lazy... OR I often use a HOTAS, so it becomes tiring... and I'm very old and frail.

Would it be possible... as you did with the "fake" 'altitude hold' ... activate an Aileron trim capability in the aircraft.cfg file.

This would allow users 'who wish to' ... to use the basic Aileron trim controls to keep it straight without relying on the AP.

            Thanks.

@gabe777 It would be really neat to implement something like WB-Sim has with its 172 and it's tuneable trim tab. Something to add to the suggestion box!

@gabe777 Sounds like the kind of thing that happens when you have more weight on the left than the right (pilot but no passenger for example). Have you tried just adding a passenger or putting more fuel in the right tank to compensate?

@gabe777 until that is possible, you can adjust this with passengers and then do smaller adjustments by selecting which fueltank to draw fuel from.
I flew the Arrows by hand on a world trip with an X55 hotas and that worked well

@gabe777 Same, you'd have to hold it or try some slight rudder trim

Agreed. When I put it on autopilot.... perfectly balanced weight wise, I can literally see the yoke a few degrees to the right.

                          We need an aileron trim.

Tried standard keystrokes but it's no go.

With the help of the Working Title team we have finally found a solution to the GNS compatibility issues that were holding up the release of our updates for the PA28s (Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III/IV and Warrior II). We're now finishing off some final bits of work on those with the aim of releasing them next week.

Thanks again for your patience with these updates.

@gabe777 Tbh i have never felt the need for a aileron trim in the Arrow. Just make sure your passengers and cargo are well distributed and if you fly solo just burn the left tank the first few minutes, won't take long before it flies straight. Just remember to swap over when the other wing starts to drop.

Are you also planning on updating the turbo behavior? In the current version one still has to lean the engine when climbing and keeping the manifold pressure constant. That’s not correct behavior. Any plans on updating this?

A quick message to say that we'll be finishing off release candidate testing over the weekend, ahead of a release of the PA28 Arrow III, Turbo Arrow III/IV and Warrior II updates next week.

The updates will also be sent to the MS Marketplace team for processing, both for PC and Xbox.

Agreed. When I put it on autopilot.... perfectly balanced weight wise, I can literally see the yoke a few degrees to the right.

                                          We need an aileron trim.

Tried standard keystrokes but it's no go.

@gabe777 Just use a tad of rudder trim, it will compensate for this. It's what I do in the real plane.
