    Hey guys,

didn't have time yet to do a flight but startet up MSFS 2024 with SU5 to get a first look (with the Caravan).

    • The persistence seems to be partially back: payload, fuel, tablet options saved.

    • wheel chocks not on although "load with covers & chocks deployed", cabin aesthetics (arm rests, sun visors), battery, fuel valves not saved

    • Strange: The quartz clock is quite off: I'm sitting in KCEA right now (local time 4:10 am) but the clock shows 7:07 am/pm (?). The MSFS time is live and correct.

I'm curious about something. Do you have your own registration/tail number set in the MSFS24 menu? In the section where you choose variant and liveries, the last tab at the end where you set the identification?

Try to clear that section out and see if the persistence works better.

I asked because before this update, my pmdg airline configuration settings weren't being loaded automatically depending on the livery because I had my own registration set. Once i cleared that, the airline Config options automatically loaded correctly.

First flight with SU5 last night. Noticed a few things, some may be directly related to this add on, while others likely aren't. I mostly fly in VR, using a Quest 3 headset. I did not verify if these issues were present on a 2D screen.
First thing I noticed, was the menu size. After starting a flight, and pulling up the settings to make adjustments to my controls, I noticed the menu system taking up a far larger portion of my view. Not a bad thing necessarily, just caught me by surprise. Had to make a lot of adjustments to my settings in VR, as they had almost all been reset to HIGH accross the board.
Second thing I noticed is it's necessary to get much closer to the external clickspots to remove/replace open/close things such as chocks, engine covers, doors, ladders etc. Forget being able to reach the pitot tubes to remove or replace their covers. Had to remove them using the tablet.
The third thing I noticed was the instrument lighting wasn't functional. I could adjust the internal flood lights, but the instrument lights would work at all.
Now, mind you, I have not had time to restart the simulator and see if that cleared any of these items up, but I did take the time to uninstall and reinstall the caravan. Maybe when I have time for a flight, I will find these things have corrected themselves as often happens with a restart of FS24.
        Just my observations!

@miller39687 I definitely have no control over the UI size, because the massive, non-resizable UI in MSFS 2024 is a massive, non-resizable pain as a developer...

I also don't have control over the clickspot distances, but this might be a VR change, because I can still interact with everything as far away from the aircraft as I can walk on my end.

All cockpit and instrument lighting seems to be working as intended on my side of things. Let me know if you keep encountering this, and we can troubleshoot further.

@Black-Square Thanks Nick! I didn't actually think any of my observations were of your doing, just possible effects of SU5! I was just trying to add to the OP's observations! I'm hoping when I get a chance to sit at the simulator again, these "glitches" will no longer appear!
And... THANK YOU for a wonderful rendition of this aircraft! If you could find time apply your genius and skill to creating Twin Otter, my simulation life would be complete!
