Duke Turbine acceleration issues
-
Problem:
The aircraft starts normally and will taxi, but when I advance the power levers for takeoff, both engines remain at idle power. The aircraft will not accelerate for takeoff.Symptoms observed:
- Aircraft starts normally.
- Aircraft taxis normally.
- At full throttle, both engines briefly respond, then immediately return to idle.
- Torque remains around 8 on both engines.
- RPM remains around 1030 on both engines.
- Both engines behave identically.
Troubleshooting already performed:
- Reset All Failures.
- Set Global Failure Rate to Off.
- Confirmed 0 Active Failures.
- Repaired both engines using the tablet.
- Verified 100% engine condition on both engines.
- Verified battery and aircraft condition appear normal.
- Tried using the Honeycomb Bravo throttles.
- Tried using the virtual cockpit throttles with the mouse.
- Aircraft still produces only idle power.
Additional information:
- Earlier, repairing both engines restored normal takeoff power for one flight.
- On subsequent flights, the problem returned even though the engines still showed 100% condition after repair.
- This appears to affect both engines simultaneously, making me suspect a common system or software issue rather than an individual engine failure.
If this is a known issue or if there is another maintenance or engine-state reset that I should perform, I’d appreciate any guidance.
Thank you.

@skyseek Given that the Duke has been out for years now and I haven't heard of any unsolvable power lever problems, do you think you could send me a video of this behavior and some of the tablet screens? Thank you!
