Autopilot tracks correct heading despite misaligned HSI in manual mode

Hello everyone,
I was on a flight and saw that the autopilot was not following the heading bug, then I realized that the magnetic compass was incorrect because of the windshield heat being on, so I set the HSI to a wrong adjustment because of this, but the autopilot acted like it knew what the real heading was, ignoring the HSI. Is this something already known? I mean, that was for me the clue to know that something was wrong, but because of the autopilot reling on the information of this instrument, I suppose it should follow the heading bug, even if it is incorrect.

An excerpt from the next changelog for you
When the remote compass is slewed to an incorrect magnetic heading, the autopilot will now follow the HSI’s heading bug to this new incorrect heading.
