I was on a flight and saw that the autopilot was not following the heading bug, then I realized that the magnetic compass was incorrect because of the windshield heat being on, so I set the HSI to a wrong adjustment because of this, but the autopilot acted like it knew what the real heading was, ignoring the HSI. Is this something already known? I mean, that was for me the clue to know that something was wrong, but because of the autopilot reling on the information of this instrument, I suppose it should follow the heading bug, even if it is incorrect.<br />
