I noticed that when you re-load the aircraft on the livery selection screen after picking that N8244L livery, it stops flickering in the aircraft menu too. It shows my custom tail sign. Totally functional in the sim, I flew a long flight and never saw an issue.

@Marionettework I've got that livery from Tim and it wasn't working either for me. So to clarify on SU3...Select the aircraft livery, then save it and then go in and reselect it and then fly?
    Cheers

Cheers @Marionettework and @MatzeH84, that finally worked for Tim's N8244L livery, I was wondering if the fact I was adding the ATC callsign Starship and the last 3 characters of the tail were breaking it as well but it seems not, couldn't seem to get any others to play ball though, infuriating, like that whole aircraft selection page is in general...

I've attached a video of my random clicking in case it helps anyone....I might investigate copying the reg config that Tim has used (or reenabling Nick's original code) and see if that works for the inhouse liveries, but to be honest I've spent so much time p1ssing around with idiosyncrasies in 2024 and learning Mobiflight to map variables I'm not actually flying the bird!

Yea, I noticed that if you select that custom livery, exit, select again, and then select one of the default liveries, exit and select again, you get the custom registration on the default liveries!

This registration workaround doesn't work for me anymore in 2024 after updating to 1.1. Is it just me?

How do you get the registration white text on the cockpit panel where the revisionary controls are?

That does appear to work if you plug a custom registration number in, otherwise it defaults to the livery number.

It's on the configuration page a tab or two over from where your select the livery before starting a flight.

@Marionettework Same here, Not sure if it's 1.1 or the latest SU3 build but despite uncommenting the original code in panel.cfg I now only get completely blank or the black rectangles with the workaround. Even when the main preview model in the selection page looks fine (which was previously my indicator that it would work in sim)

Regressed to SU2 and all is well again (first test though)
