    @jetnoise

    Thats what I said, then the recommendations are wrong, if we are wrong.

    Boomer has a top notch sytem and has the problems with this aircraft. For sure destination will load in a certain range, but if this is causing probs on a top notch system what specs should one have? An 128GB GC? Thus Fokker needs infinite memory? Always a GC would load most data as possible, that is not the end of the world, maybe it´s limiting me, thus I reduced settings, but a 24 GB GC should be able to soak up the stuff.

    I will open a ticket, "it´s not the plane" is not an answer, the world is not black and white.

    Sure do it ;-)

    See my specs above
    MSFS and F28 (146, Fenix, Maddog) are just running fine.
    F28 from release day, MSFS through all its BETAs.
    All i can say ...

    I'll post my settings if you guys need ...

    @jetnoise

    That something works for you does not mean it works for everyone.
    This is your experience, not an evidence.
    I could say MSFS and 146, Fenix, Maddog are just running fine. This is my experience, not an evidence, but leads to the impression that my system is basically not f... up.

    We talk of Software, and software is made by humans and can contain bugs, that may apply on one system, while on other system it doesn´t hurt. Maybe you are a GC driver version ahead or behind? Who knows?
    From this threat I can read there is something some people experienced or I can read one is smart and the others are not on the page. I prefer the first interpretation.

    @jetnoise JF just posted in ticket that they think of a memory leak and try to nail it down. I´m the third reporter. What I have to say, what a good support, gettin answer in 20 minutes, not usual in todays days....

    @jetnoise Yes that’s me on FS.to and I answered you ;)

    For the stutter problem let’s see what JF will find and hopefully they will find a solution. Anyway love the plane already and that vintage feel.

    @sparrows69 Hopefully it's not the same problem as the Carenado PC12. With this bird, the frame rate is also halved after about an hour of flight time. After what feels like 10 software updates, they still haven't gotten the problem under control.
    There it is connected to an instrument that nobody really needs, the Avidyne EX500, which can display navigation data. Ultimately, disabling this instrument completely prevents the memory leak.

    I saw that there is a similar function in the Weather Radar (MAP) in the F28. I am not aware that the Honeywell Primus series (or Sperry) offers such a display in addition to the GMAP function. Would be just ballast in an old school plane anyway ;-).

    Where did you find this info in F28 that using such a function? I mean, could be write in ticket to point them towards this.

    @sparrows69 In the manual on page 123. The MAP function is described there. However, unlike the real Honeywell system, this is "only" a display of the airport ICAOs and does not provide real ground mapping.

    Problem seem does not be related , so far I had GPS activated, and face the problem, too.

    @sparrows69 When one instrument is activated on an MSFS aircraft, it does not necessarily mean that the other instrument will be completely deactivated. It is not loaded when loading the aircraft until it is excluded in panel.cfg.

    From panel config,but yes, at the end we don´t know,

    @sparrows69 I did another test flight with the F28 from EDDL to EDDT. I didn't turn on the weather radar. The landing went without stuttering. Was that coincidence?

    @delfin25 I think your flight was too short to reveal the issue.

    I flew a multi-sector route lasting over six hours in total, over big cities and airports, real weather and traffic etc, on a three year old gaming laptop, and didn't encounter this issue. We're investigating but there must be several factors to this.

    It seems this issue may not be unique:

    Here also: Users report having the issue and others don't....
    In these cases its all about approaching an airport -> objects loading in, depending on LOD settings more or less -> causing stutters -> more or less, depending on your system specs and oc ! any other factors of your installs ....

    Never ending stories ...
    ( i've even seen people reporting "issues solved" by cleaning out their PCs, because of overheating - thermal throttleing - reason dust ;-)

    (not F28 related)

    I've tried a couple of flights without touching the weather radar controls, and both went fine. That seems the problem there.

    @exp131 The weather radar is the problem for me at the moment. I only fly short haul and with weather radar there is stutter. Last time it even happened mid-flight. Frame rate dropped to 10 FPS. I just did another short-haul flight EBBR - EDDS without weather radar and everything went very smoothly.

    @derek I don't have that ground handling stuff (GSX). I focus on flying. I haven't had any problems with any other aircraft of any complexity except the Carenado PC12 with this navigational bullshit (Avidyne EX500) and this fake Honeywell Sperry weather radar in the Fokker F28. By the way, PMDG decided against the weather radar, and that's a good thing.
