Nick, to say this thing was worth the wait is an understatement. I found myself grinning just from the first walk around and cockpit/interior inspection. The attention to detail you put into these products is outstanding.

@Outermarker said in Transition to Beta: Even though in the release version the physical prop lever no longer visibly moves, I assume that’s still what’s happening under the hood: the prop is going fully into feather. Not the case, but I'm working on it

@Wothan Works fine in MSFS 2020. This is a known issue with MSFS 2024 and will not be resolved until ASOBO fix the sim.

I had a button assigned to 'cabin lights' on my hardware, as soon as I turned that button on I got the instrument lights. My bad. Topic can be closed thank you.

Came here looking for the solution to the fuel imbalance. These Black Square aircraft continue to blow my mind! I love this attention to detail!

I also agree with this, and want to add, that at power lever idle, and condition lever at low idle, it rolls across the ground without any power addition. It doesn't have that much in real life and requires a bit of thrust to get her rolling.

@MiRexer said in Tablet options not saving: State saving is an issue in 2024 right now. This is on MSFS 2020 by the way - I haven't tried it on 2024 yet due to known issues.

@czcorkery Hi, if you select the custom install option when running the installer, you can install the aircraft outside of the sim and bypass the long path issue

I would say enjoying is a understatement, I love it as all of your products! Did not disable aircraft stress damage to get a more “realistic” punishment, but will give it a try. Thanks for the quick replay. And a few more seconds in one of the next updates would be appreciated but I do understand it does potentially cause other issues.

@Black-Square said in Pilot and Copilot avatars: Just to clarify, all of my aircraft released for MSFS 2024 are "real native package[s]". As I have explained several times in the past, the modular aircraft file structure is entirely optional, and does not limit the available features or compatibility of the aircraft in any way. Asobo says this in almost those exact words within their documentation. As far as my aircraft are concerned, the modular file structure is a further abstraction from which they do not particularly benefit. As I understand it, large airliners benefit the most, and also other workflows for modeling aircraft, which I do not personally use. Though you are in general right as the native definition by Asobo is quite wide and not very precise, you can actually group them into some native levels. And yes your packages are native packages and I didn't deny that. But the level of native package you have selected for your projects comes with some disadvantages for the customers. Most of us will fly different liveries for VAs or even download the already very nice released ones from your house painter Ryan and Tim for example. And with your products (or every other product using this level of native like the JF ones) all these additional liveries are actually not liveries but variants of the aircraft. For each of these you have then to select and assign your control profiles again cause the sim thinks its a new aircraft variant. Minor annoyance for sure

That's a really good video - I particularly enjoyed how he spent time explaining how not to pinch one's fingers in the ladder. That thing has "bitten" me on more than one occasion in the real plane.

Thanks. I have a few other housekeeping things to take care of with Just Flight, so I will add that to the list.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope you're enjoying the aircraft, regardless of some of these things. I hope you don't mind if I answer in the form of a list, as I'm doing a lot of replies today. The KAP 140 is incapable of driving a flight director, hence the lack of one. I could add an optionally toggleable one for you, but as you might imagine, then I will receive comments that this is "unrealistic". Unfortunately, I don't plan on adding a different RMI to the Caravan, since this is the unit I have seen most commonly installed in Caravans. Also, I'm sure you also understand that I receive a lot of requests to put avionics from all my aircraft in all my other aircraft, which would be a practical impossibility. This is unfortunate, since I aim to make everyone happy. I have been told by my Caravan pilots that a lot of rudder trim is required for cruise and any power changes, and also due to fuel imbalance. As the KAP 140 does not have authority over the rudder, I think this might be mostly realistic. I'll talk to my Caravan pilots to get their opinion. I'm already working on this for v1.1. Unfortunately, there is no "click here to increase left-turning tendency" option when developing a CFD aerodynamics model, but one would think this is a solvable problem from looking at my other aircraft. Hopefully I can get this squared away for you guys by next week. Sorry it's not sooner, but Just Flight is on their way to FSWeekend in a matter of hours. Thanks again, and let me know if you have any more comments or questions! You know where to find me.

Are you familiar with the KAP 140's adjustable barometer setting? Unfortunately, I think there is actually a bug with that right now, but I will fix it very soon with v1.1.
