Thank you! I just got the Honeycomb Echo Aviation Controller, basically its an X-box style controller but I am surprised how well its laid out specifically for FlightSimming, the elevator and aileron axes are surprisingly precise and tunable. It did take me awhile to figure out how to map reverse thrust, prop feather, and cutoff on the Caravan, but i finally got it, and thanks again for mentioning Axis and Ohs, I had heard about the program numerous times before but was intimidated by the interface, now I realize its a great tool for mapping anything once you get the general hang of it.

@Morten I wish it were so easy, unfortunately. Deciding whether to intercept and intervene in hardware input events is not something you can turn on/off on the fly. I appreciate the thought, though. As is often the case, the method I'm thinking of would actually be more realistic, with a real additional hopper tank that's fed from the main tanks. The only reason I didn't do this in the first place was because I thought it would be confusing for users looking at the native payload interface and wondering what this third fuel tank was for.

When all else fails: Roll your own I dug into the Dev mode, found the B codes to send, tested them in SpadNext and then wrote my own bridge. I'd still prefer a native solution, but I didn't see a possibility of that. At least this way I control my own code.

Confirmed. You can see the arm but not the shade. It would be nice for this to be fixed.

Naw, Hijack away. This has lead really interesting places already. I hadn't thought of how to describe the controls till now, but that pitch thing alone is a super big thing in caravans, the 208B models anyway. They drill it into you from day one that you have to be on the trim immediately whenever you touch the flaps.

@Chimaeira Yes, I muddled it over for a while before deciding to purchase one. Glad I did though, it is a nice piece of hardware.

I experienced this for the first time. I was flying in the Caravan without cargo pod, with no GPS, VOR to VOR. [image: 5b593bd9-5172-4279-846a-ba4bf391b734.png] At #1, it switched to ROL for the first time. It took me a while to realize what was wrong, but I was eventually headed in the right direction. Then it switched to ROL again, by #2. Back on track, and no further problems. As I flew over the VOR (#3), it switched to ROL, but this is, as I understand it, the correct behavior, when briefly losing the signal. As I was slightly adjusting the heading away from the VOR, I had an idea. The first two times it switched to ROL, the heading bug was still pointing north, as thas was my takeoff heading. After the second disconnect, I finally centered the heading bug, and had no problems after that. So I now set the heading bug 90° to the right, just to test. It again switched to ROL at #4. I, yet again centered the heading bug, and I reached my destination without any more disconnects. Anecdotal, of course, and it might be purely coincidental, but for all my unexpected switches to ROL mode, the heading bug was not centered, and while it was centered, I had no switches. Further testing needed.

@nhe03 Noticed the same thing. The hPa is off by ≈1.5. It would be nice if this could be fixed.

@adomeitus +1. Same here. Noticed it twice so far. Taking it out of beta made the annunciator go out again.

I believe this ITT change is incorrect in this checklist. The official POH checklist indicates otherwise — it actually calls for a slight torque drop instead. That torque drop can indeed be verified during the procedure. See official POH below [image: cb6b1c51-6beb-49d8-9a1d-15b1bd0145d5.png]

I figured this was the case. I was just doing some testing, in the different sims, and when you see it side by side, the difference is striking. Really unfortunate. I can tell that you put great care into the lighting, it’s not only functional, but nice looking and cozy, as well. Looking forward to future projects.
