F28 Professional

We don't supply an LVAR list as the list can be found in several locations within the sim so we would just be copying that list. Plus it could change fairly regularly so it would be a list that we would have to constantly update.

There are a few ways you can find an LVAR list in the sim, but the way I personally recommended is:

Load a flight in the F28 Go to MSFS Options > General Options > Developers and enable Developer Mode. Move your mouse to the top of the screen and on the menu go to Windows > Behaviours > Local Variables. In that menu, you'll see a list of every LVAR used in the F28 and its current state. You can search for an LVAR using the search field. So for example if you wanted to find an LVAR for the strobe lights you could type "Strobe" in the search field and you could find the LVAR for the Strobe lights which is "F28_PED_Lights_Toggle_STROBE_Switch". With that LVAR in view, if you then move the switch you'll see the state change in the menu.

Most of the LVARs should be named appropriately to their actual controls so the search technique should work pretty well. Let us know if you get stuck though and we can assist.

I understand about the points you mentioned. The EFB charts directory would be one of my top requests for now as windows will not be a thing implemented.

@eyaen At the beginning, I placed my camera close to the glareshield and zoomed out but finally, I found it easier to read instruments to go back and zoom in. You have less speed feeling but you can read instruments easily. I also noticed that in most real F28s, the artifical horizon is bigger that what we got in the sim. That might have to do with it.

The other thing is that the glareshield is bigger/thicker than in the real plane and thus, it makes the instrument lower from the pilot's eye. This is definitely a 3D modeling issue that couldn't be resolved that easily, I guess. Here's a comparison between the real and sim.

Then you have to get your head higher and farther from the instruments and it's more difficult to read, especially in 1920/1080 resolution at night :upside-down_face:

I also have the state saving issue. It seemed to be working right up until the first update and now I load in with the same settings as I did for what I assume is the first flight after updating. (I did a full uninstall and then re-installed with the latest installed but did NOT delete the working folder).

@mark thank you so much. This was my first time seeing this behavior in the F28. All of my prior flights had been perfectly calm. Glad to know I wasn’t losing my mind.

A few issues in climb when I saved the situation by switching to IAS-mode instead of PITCH. On descent all was well to 7000' when the aircraft would pitch up violently, even pegging the VS needle. No response to IAS mode, and disconnection/connecting the AP helped. The BAe 146 does not have the same issues.

Flew using the Garmin on GPS.

If the engine gets stuck around 25% that would indicate no fuel is entering the engine.

We would recommend checking your external controllers for any "FUEL VALVE" or general "FUEL" control assignments that may be triggered, preventing fuel from entering the engine.

@fly2belgium : Same problem as you a few times, look at the manual gear handle, something keeps dropping mine and then the gear wont retract.

@papafox85 I was pretty certain it was as the Captain seemed to be referring to it a lot.

Oh what I wouldn't give for a VS mode given the current pitch mode "surprises" :-)

@t4murphy Yeah - still my favourite and wishing my VA had more routes for it.

@dadgametime There is only one ground connection on the F28 and it can be used for both air conditioning and engine start, regardless of what kind of GSE that hose may or may not be plugged in to.
